Hi there. I don't visit here much but I noticed your mod on the front page :)

As you can probably tell from my username I'm a big fan of Alienware and I feel they get a lot of bad press when they don't really deserve it.

Sure, their systems are aimed at noobs but they are very solid and well designed and well, they work. Unlike a company who basically rips off customers to order (by selling them crap for too much money) Alienware offer a custom system for those who don't have the confidence to build one themselves or just don't want to get their hands dirty.

I've been using their chassis for years now and I've loved every one I've had. I've had about seven Area 51 chassis (the p2 predators) and two Auroras before getting my latest Area 51 ALX in January (just the chassis and psu with the light board).

I've never been flush enough to order one direct but they always sell off their unused stuff to sellers who put it on Ebay for a decent price. My ALX cost me £200 delivered for the chassis with a 1200w psu !!

Any way, sorry for waffling on. I just wanted to say that I think you've done an awesome job with this Aurora and must say it makes a nice change to see Alienware getting some love :)

Great job sir, I doff my cap :)

Every time I watch another mod "made by Kier", I remember the MB`s slogan: "The best or nothing". Exelent job, Kier, really the best!

Thanks for your comment Mr. AWAndy,
I also think that they get too many negative responses. the system runs for a month now with no problems, plays everything and runs very smoothly. Love the case and the gadgets. Maybe some expensive, but I think it's worth it. If everything goes well, i'm going to mod another one ;)

    Thanks mate...you

Btw. just noticed that my Alienware build is nominated for mod of the month february. Here's the link of all of the nominees: http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/mod-of-the-month/2013/03/18/mod-of-the-month-february-2013/1 choose wisely my friends

Another unbelievable Project, The hardware should always play second best to the modders vision and design, and Kier has more than his fair share of both. Big fan of your work. :)

Just out of interest the green acrylic you use seems very luminescent on the edges, do you have some kind of UV flash on your camera ?

Great build Kier, I would do a couple of things differently, but from the beginning disaster of a mess, you've done great! I love the acrylic tubes, but as already mentioned, I would be very careful about the CPU cooler, especially since you shortened the tubes, that could easily ruin £800 of GPU goodness :eeek:

Kier that really is one heck of a mod, especially with the limits you had to work within. :thumb:

The effort you put in is evident in the results, well done mate. Really like that final sleeve work, great execution.

Loving your work, especially the use of lighting in keeping with the original case

Apologies if I missed it, but what are the coolers you used on the Dell RAM?

I love what you have done with the case it looks loads better than what you got. It's a shame that the side panel comes in 2 pieces it would showcase the hardware if you could have put a little bigger window in there. Your work is top notch and I admire your creativity and attention to detail.

I have a question, the vents that come up on the top do they raise when the temps come up or do they do it when the power comes on? And do they have fans under to help push hot air out of the case?

Congrats on Alieanware, Nvidia, and EKWB working with you it says a lot about your skill and your work, Congratz on MOTM too.

I know it is not possible but I can't help looking at the side panels acrylic/plastic bits and think what a great reservoir it would make
    Top work as ever Kier
