This little girl came out of her chrysalis this morning. I managed to get a handful of photos before her wings finished drying and she flew off. We started with over a dozen caterpillars on the butterfly weed. 8 or so lasted long enough to grow to full size. 2 survived long enough to form chrysalises. The first monarch to emerge was promptly eaten by a squirrel. This is the only one to make it all the way; she's the lone survivor. My daughter named one of the caterpillars "Tiny" (because it was the smallest one). She's convinced that this butterfly is Tiny. Works for me.

Does the IAF still fly MiG 29s? I always thought they looked cooler than the SU-27 family, despite being the less capable aircraft.
Yarp. The IAF flies MiG-29Bs (although the fleet is being upgraded to MiG-29SMT standards, designated MiG-29UPG) and the Navy flies MiG-29K/KUBs, which are arguably better than the Su-27 family... or so a Flanker pilot who's flown both told me.
