Case Mod - In Progress CL0S3 IMPACT-Final pics and a closing for this saga

It looks so mint with white coolant,the effect is pretty cool.

Now I am getting the peripherals together so they can be modded to match.

Got a x55 rhino coming right now....not made a choice on the KB and mouse for it tho.

It looks absolutely delicious, but my OCD caught one last thing you might want to work on. The motherboard is bowing under the extreme mass of the video card. Maybe a plastic shim under and around the edges?

So many people have pointed that out...its the way the S3 is,even with no block on,it bows...



Caselabs ship a puck that sits under that slot with new S3's,jacking it up.

I should make one really.....

Congratulations it's a very nice mod

 

A contraption most agreeable to the aesthetic sensibilities of those who appreciate artful engineering.

 

The thing I like the most is how you made the Caselabs still look like a Caselabs but not your average Caselabs. In those final pictures the paint and the striping and combination of custom reservoir, screen and top window make it look fresh. You didn't really mod it, but you still modded it if that makes any sense. Anyway, I wouldn't mind having that on my desk. Top project!

Only smidgey comment I would say is that the cable ties look a bit obvious in the pictures- could be that they are reflecting light and that they look a bit grey to me

However that is just me- Mr see nothing apart from total black and them must be black only

Awesome build, the paint, the customized gpublock, the res and the faceplate with the controller are very nice. But as pointed out, the bundle of wiring looks a bit out of place, giving the case a somewhat messy look. And you forgot the puck under the mobo

 

They are reflecting light,they are stainless steel bands...not zip ties.

The irid- iru- shiny color change doesn't come out well in that set. You might want to try to sneak some natural light into a shot.
