Just been playing with it, and TBH how have I not had one of these before?
We have these at work, but for some reason it feels so much better on my own PC.

    I need another now :)

Good choice, I've got the same and absolutely loving the combination of grunt and portability.

FWIW, the 4K screen is pretty manageable in terms of scaling - the only time I've run into issues is when I'm presenting something on an old projector (probably 1024x768 or some such) and using Adobe Acrobat for something, where the menu bar will take up the entire PJ screen.

Two of those. I bought them on Thursday from OCUK. Saved my bloody life ! I forgot that the Alienware board has a USB (for the lighting) half way up the right side of the board and that the FP header is there too :( Panicked for a bit, as USB extensions are around £8 each. I ended up buying two of those for £1.99 each with free shipping. Then took one apart to make the FP extension. Job's a goodun. I love OCUK. Free shipping Cheesecake.

Got that yesterday on Prime. Arrived earlier. Sodding ex wife came around and took all of the pizza pans.

I have a 4K screen on my desktop. While it looks great in some apps, many of the Adobe CC Suite don't scale very well and font's look crap. I think 1920x1080 is where it's at for me for a couple of years more.

Photoshop was unusable on my 28" 4k Acer. Even CC.

I think your next purchase should really be along the lines of:

    Woah.

Just tried PS on the laptop screen, completely unusable. I guess I've only used it on the 32" 4k before now.

You would think if anything is going to tolerate high DPI I would be the de-facto image editing software...

On my first step towards moving away from Laptops and back to desktops, I just ordered a keyboard.
Corsair K65 Rapidfire RGB (PT layout).

Also just bought and mounted an Ottoman bed, as I essentially sleep in a pantry and use the "bedroom" as a hobby room.

Having endured a year of using my main PC perched on the end of my bed connected to a 32 inch TV for the last 12 months and now have a proper desk and chair and gaming again on my 23 inch Monitor it is so much more comfortable for a start and so much easier and in general a much better experience :)

Yeah that did make me laugh. It just arrived.. Another Amazon Warehouse jobby but £42 closed the deal for me. Red 'waves are expensive.

But yeah, reminded me of the Walkmans I had and the stack system we had back in the 80s. They were amazing then.
