I allways hated that game so much :nono:

But it's knida freaky how similar it looks...even in terms of size :worried:

I just plan to put a 120mm LED fan in the middle...probably red and then tint the rest of the plexi so that the cathode lighting in the case shines through...most likely gonna be bloo.

Have yet to decide if I'm gonna trim all the edges with blowhole trim or not...will see how it looks when I get some more.

    Cheers, CC

I have a dremel but find it very hard going when doing a largish cutout like this...plus it costs a fortune in cutting wheels. My jigsaw still has the original blade in it which is now over two years old.

Update #4 :: Front Fan Mounting

I wanted to mount the front fan so that you could not see the mounting bolts. So I made a mounting bracket from a spare bit of plexi.

Firstly I had to transfer my scetch onto the piece of plexi.

Then using my Rotozip with the hole cutting attachment I started to cut the design out.

    That's the outside cuts done...

And that's the inside hole done.

    Then using a straight edge...

I could trim off the excess plexi...

    To finish the design.

    Cheers, CC

Wow that hole cutting tool is awesome. Definately superior to a dill attatchment on certain projects. Nice plexi work there too.

Heh the hole saw bit.. Found it at local hardware store though.. 20$'s + pilot bit $9's. My wife made me put them back because we were only there for a for sale sign.. but I plan on going back and getting more than just the 76mm one.. :D Project is looking great!
