Why is it that everytime there is a single flake of snow, the entire of our back office suddenly think its perfectly fine to just not come to work..

These are people living 10 mins walk from a ****ing tube station.

Yeah - it was a suspiciously easy run in this morning for me, too... No fresh snowfall, and temps were above freezing (no ice to scrape off the car) probably helped, but it did seem like a lot of people just said "F it" today.

Not surprised tbh. yesterday there were reports of 40+ abandoned vehicles on the road I need to use to get here and a jackknifed lorry. This morning all was clear apart from the mugs not clearing snow from the tops of their cars

Cars stuck on the lip of my driveway (its an uphill driveway) add to that I have do go down a hill that the police closed due to the number of cars stuck at the bottom of it, work kicked off so I've invited them to mine see if they can get up to mine.

It's more like the schools are afraid of any lawsuits arising from someone's little darling slipping in the playground and getting an owie... :duh:

And this has got harder has it. Are children's legs in someway different from the legs we had as children?

I work at a school and yes I had Friday & today as snow days but there is one MAJOR difference is a school for children with special needs.I do remember when I was at school (more years than I am going to say) we never had a snow day. Strange thing is I can get about quiet well considering my legs don't work that well and I use sticks but I see so called "young, able bodied" slipping with every step. What happened to people when did they forget how to walk in the snow?

Chipped my teeth again, I would quite like to make it to 30 without looking like Shane McGowan, but nature apparently has other plans.

Of course, thanks to all those car rides and smart phone abuse the little darlings are lucky if they can walk at all by age ten, even then the trip from the house to the X7 can be fraught.

Amazingly, not every school has all of its pupils within walking distance. I don't really know why I'm bothering here, to be honest.
