I only used that term as I've got it stuck in my head from doing pointless coursework today. For example "please create a website to prove to us you can"
"will a link suffice? If so https://www.bit-tech.net"
"no, it needs to be from scratch with source code"
    "U wot m8"

It's valid HTML [iirc], it loads, it's technically a web page... never said it had to be pretty.

    Chuck it under Software.

While a lot of the older timers were teenagers when they joined, some of us have been in IT since before you were born :) Lots of clever folk around.

I've been an "IT Professional" for 13 years, I'm pretty sure I know less and less with every year that passes. I hate to think how little I'll know in another 10 years.

Don't worry, a few years after that you, like me now, will be able to walk into a room and have absolutely no idea what you were going to do when you got there.

Just wait until you walk into a room and not only forget what you went in for but forget you went looking for something and go back into the original room to remember that you were going into the other other room to look for something.

Only to then forget what you went in looking for.

It's all largely immaterial when you're skint. £200 or £250, can't afford it either way.

Normal is very relative, a 1060 6GB is still somewhere between £40 and £80 more than the original rrp two years after release. I'm not suprised about the rumors of Nvidia being coerced into buying back chips from OEMs, with the mining boom dissipating and VR stagnating there's just a very fed up gamer tribe left to sell to.

Whilst it hasn't exactly ruined my life it really is an annoyance more so than anything - my debit card details have been stolen, new card on its way and old one has been cancelled :(

CPU fan hovering around whizzing away making a load of racket. Forgot to unplug the little bugger before lifting it, bloody finger and a cracked fingernail, not thrilled with myself. Good job Xigmatek though :thumb:
