You sir are a wood crafting god! Amazing. its simply awesome. I love how you can just LIFT the inner case out of the wood shell....very very sweet. You could maybe go for a nicer power switch, do that case some justice eh :p

    LOVE IT!...

I know you want to put a couple 4" ccfls close to those luvers eh :p

yeah, I don't like the power switch much either but I couldnt find anything better at radioshack... hopefully I will find something I like in the future and be able to replace it.

I have to comment... the case looks excellent.... i do think it is let down by your choice of switches though...

    But thats just my opinion

I don't like Your switches :) . They are ugly (in compare with the case).
There is a lot of other kind of them to use. Try the same kind of switch that are use in HiFi components. (of course this will require additional circuits to controll your internal equipment).
I used this in my PC http://www.moded-kompz.net/?name=Projects&id=7

    Greetings
    Tom

    PS
    Nice Work

Well considering he will be replacing the ugly power switch with the bulgin I'm sending him, it should look a lot nicer! The spst switches are fine and so are the green leds (maybe you could have used the clear type - ultra brights un-diffused...) and the reset switch is not bad at all.

My only gripe, what are the holes above and below the current power switch for? That kinda kills it a bit...hrm...

Some great stuff, I love the natural wood color. Also looking forward to the new switches, that should look great.

If you ever feel like changing your spst's for higher quality ones (they cost a bit tho) I can get you the farnell code...the IP67 sealed rubber would match the wood perfectly!

edit: some chrome led holders would do it some good too. Go to Maplin and search for 'chrome led' and FM38Y or something liek taht will pop up. They need a 7.5mm hole to fit and accept 5mm leds!

those holes are for the power led and the hdd activity led, i didnt have time to put em in before i took those pictures. ;) dont worry, those holes will be filled...

the oil i used is a natural oil, no synthetics, i could barely smell it while i was applying it to the case, and anyways, i dont think ittd get hot enough to make it act up.
