Power came back just before we were to do a wood run.

Thankfully the Chinese takeaway was on a different grid so we had that last night.

Still the wood stove helped keep us full of tea, coffee and snacks yesterday.

30+ hours been the longest I've known a powercut though. Feel bad for those with major medical needs for power and the like.

Little F****r is becoming very bold. In fact, I suspect he may be upgraded to Mr F****r soon enough.

(Could also be Mrs F****r, but my robin has a 'u' shape on top of its head, whereas females are supposed to have a 'v').

I've been having a pretty good week of clearing out old and selling off stuff that I don't use, made a really good amount of cash off the FB market for my guitars, Xbox and some gaming peripherals.
Still need to sort out a silly amount of board games and tabletop wargaming miniatures to clear out, but I'm getting close to achieving my pre-2022 declutter goal.

I might look at the possibility of posting some them if I can sort out some packaging boxes to send them out in.

The one's I'm aiming to clear out at the moment are:
    • 7th Continent
    • Alhambra Bix Box Collection: Limited Edition (it's huge!)
    • Alhambra: New York
    • Betrayal at House on the Hill
    • Carcassonne
    • Castle Panic
    • Caverna: The Cave Farmers
    • Citadels
    • Eight Minute Empire
    • Elder Sign
    • Fluxx
    • Gnomes of Zavandor
    • Goblin Grapple
    • Gone Viking
    • Guards! Guards! A Discworld Boardgame
    • Hoyuk
    • Khrysos Hunters
    • Machina Arcana
    • Masquerade
    • Mutiny
    • On Tour
    • Packet Row
    • Raid & Trade
    • Settlers of Catan
    • Splendor
    • Super Dungeon Explore
    • Termination Incorporated
    • Tokaido
    • Walk the Plank
    • X-Wing Core Set
If I can source some boxes, I might setup a thread in the marketplace before I turn to other places to sell them.

Appointment with the pain specialists this morning. Seemed reasonably productive. Going to change my painkiller dosage so I take more pregabalin and less amitriptyline, will slowly take the amitriptyline down to a level where it still gives me a decent night's sleep. Also getting a second referral for physio to try and hurry things up. I haven't been able to do a lot as whenever I do any my left knee keeps crapping out, and he also suggested doing very small amounts of just a few of them for now. Might not see any real benefit but will help start to strengthen things up. Something about pacing. Referred for acupuncture too, something my mum and step dad have had with decent success for various ails.

It's difficult because what i really want is a miracle cure, but I know there isn't one and everything is just a slow slog towards regaining normality. The fluoxetine has really helped give me a lift recently, but sometimes i still feel completely helpless, hopeless and very lost. I just think back to before the first op and everyone chirping "two weeks" as the recovery time, like they were rehearsing for an amateur dramatics rendition of The Money Pit.

In other news, the current case count is up to 6 with 3 still to come. Overclockers very kindly stepped in to provide a phanteks and Lian li, as well as a backup Kolink case. Currently testing a couple trying to get the parameters right to get some meaningful results out.

My final day at my current job is this friday (the rest of my notice period is holiday I had left) and it feels weird that after nearly 7 years this is my final week!

Then nearly a month off! I won't want to go back to work :p

Set my mailbox post today. It's starting to feel like a real home. Even if it is only temporary. Two or so years to pay debts and work on our campers, then it's out of AL permanently.

Gareth, that's just so, well, Gareth.

I hope you used second class postage, or carrier pigeon would be ideal.
