That looks a lot like the Philips one I have. It's smaller than it looks I reckon, and smaller than a Wahl so needs more passes. However, the teeth are smaller (and much sharper) and I think it doesn't need oil. I know my Philips doesn't. But that is at mum's and like usual I have to have two of bloody everything ffs.

I was a bit disappointed to find the wahl needs oil like the old one. Messy PITA ffs. Amount of times I have gone flying across the kitchen after cutting my hair because of oil on the lino !

 

I prefer the ones that need oil, they tend to last longer than the others.

 

2018" MBP Retina been in the market for one of these for a while but couldn't justify new for my needs. My work provided 13" has been going strong since 2018 and hasn't (yet) skipped a beat.

Pulled the trigger because eBay was offering a 20% off code. I also coupled that with an offer which saved me a further £20 so overall a £95 saving

 

Now I wasn't going to buy anything else but instead of using my Q20's and listening to the PS5 via the TV Bluetooth i couldn't resist these dongled headphones at the price.

With the eBay voucher that's active until the end of today a new pair set me back £44.

Bit of a bargain. I've previously like the gaming sound on wired hyperx's.

I seem to be preoccupying myself with random, but not pointless, purchases while my cat is still poorly.

Primary SSD for what will become my gaming PC. Literally all that machine will be doing is playing games so this should be more than enough space.

Edit: took me a day to notice the missing word “enough”…

 

I did the same, slapped a 2Tb in and I only left the two SSDs in there for some photos

I was hemming and hawwing about getting PCIe 5 or bumping up to 4TB, but neither is really worth the price yet. Nothing needs PCIe 5 speeds, Direct Storage isn't even used in that many games right now. 4TB just isn't worth the extra cost for games alone - probably the largest single install size I have at the moment is either Baldur's Gate 3 or CP2077, both of which are around 160GB IIRC. When I can download games at ~100MB/s, re-installing 160GB is not a problem (note: that's megabytes per second, not megabits per second...).

Edit: content for thread. Wireless numerical keypad. Been on a retro game binge lately and loathe having to have my left arm cross over to reach the numbers part on this keyboard (also moving the keyboard is not an option, my desk is cluttered)

 

I mean there's more than one 'c' starred word I could read there, none of which would make a soup I would like to try.

Nor would I choose them as the base for making a candle

 

Last thing I needed for the travelling PC was a headset. I technically already have one, but it is large (over ear) and the cups do not rotate. This would have meant it would have eaten space.

Found this thing for £10.99 on fleabay. Apparently it is a call centre headset complete with noise isolation. TBH IDGAF about any of that, so long as it works.

 

Been going on a bit of a spree courtesy of my severance pay... looking to relive some oldskool hardware days with a Core i7 5960X, GTX1080Ti, two Noctua NH-D15 coolers (one is Chromax black), and a Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E. Pics to follow...

Lol, my 5700X came out less than two years ago.

Mind you in the tech world that's pretty obsolete

 

I've been pretty damn impressed at how well an i3 keeps up with my 5900X in gaming, but my main rationale for moving to Intel is for SFF-ness.

My 5900X could easily keep trucking for many years yet, and outside of gaming it's still a solid workstation CPU with 12C/24T. The 5700X is still pretty damn relevant as well.
