i tried attaching a pot i had laying around to my blower, and it wouldnt work... i tried the pot with a 12v fan and it adjusted the speed of the fan, but when I put the blower on, it wouldnt spin... and it started to smell like something burning... any ideas?

Have any suggestions to improve it? Something to make it look cooler?

To be honest i prefer the look of the stock VGA Silencer, which to your theme you could have chromed the top and the fan blades etc.

have you looked into water cooling? Im thinking about it for the machine im putting together this weekend.... gonna save up some money and order parts from frozencpu. I configured a pretty good setup for around $300.... i added the dual bay resevoir and a high powered pump so I could add waterblocks for the vid card and motherboard if i wanted to in the future.

I know there's a small gap on the underside, but is that enough inlet for all the air it can output?

Nice screen, my thoughts are that maybe you should've tried to fit in 2 of the bays rather than 3 but all the same nice work :D

No, I think the way it is mounted (in three bays) visually works much better. It's a clean job. If possible, I'd try and mount a single piece aluminium bezel around it (you can mount the current surrounds 2mm further back and just stick the bezel in front).

As for the GPU cooler, I'd look around and see if you can make it out of aluminium (tubing and sheet) and use nice stainless hex bolts instead of glue where possible. Look at motorcycles for inspiration. If the diameter of the round fan housing is about 60mm, you could look at a nice alloy car tax disc holder to finish off the top:

I decided on a 3 bay setup because otherwise it would seem way too squished in.

Nexxo: I dont quite picture what you mean... could you explain further

    better or worse then this?:

keep in mind that if I were to keep this new boarder around the lcd, I would cover the other bezels below it in the same fashion... in the above pics I just wanted to get your opinion before i would start cutting out more of this stuff.

    What do you think?

What i think Nexxo means is the circualr bit on the cooler, it would look good with an aluminium tax disc holder from a motorbike etc. on it, classy idea, very original :thumb: Personally i'd say the second thing you did looks nicer but it's your personal choice, you've got to be happy with your mod. Keep up the good work mate :D

    Hi,
I Love you case, It´s awesome. Got a PC 71 myself :hip:
I would use none of both options for your LCD. If you´re dremeling a window in your case, I´ll would use the leftovers to make one in the "real brushed alu LianLi style"

Good idea, however the case doors are really thick... too thick for the front of my case.
