I want one! Do you think I can get this from my local Cash Convertor (UK Chain of Pawn Brokers)? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5193468.stm
OMFG, thats one hell of a TV, though you would need to be about 7-12 meters from it or you're not going to get the most out of it because of the poor quality when close up...
It wasn't a plasma screen... but I remember seeing a 120" Samsung flat screen at one of the big computer expos last year Just imagine a 10' wide TV in yer living room I'd much rather have the smaller (not that 100+" is "small" ) 103" plasma though
Samsung made a 102", they are rip off's, they charge $150,000 for an 80" plsma! They think so much of themselves, they make crap phones.
Samsung make some great equipment, including excellent TFT's and some of the best phones out there at the moment. I know lots of people who swear by them and S-E's. There's no need for irrational brand-hatred, founded on nothing.
They are also a massive chip manufacturer, look closely on your nvidia (maybe ati ok...amd) graphics card, you will see samsung written all over it - over the memory at least... Ed
Wow. Much awe. Bit pointless though tbh, for that money you could have a kick ass projector that'd be miles, miles better. Still, nice to see advancing tech, as the bigger gets bigger the smaller gets cheaper.
Imagine the power consumption on that beast. You can turn of the heat when winter comes and just go and watch some movies Maybe a hybrid powered TV is next to come to save you bill I don't think it's pointless as they say "Businesses that need electronic billboards will account for many of the 5,000 units Matsushita hopes to sell every year" and I doubt a projector will do any good for electronic billboarding in daylight or well lit room. /GNU
Good modern projectors work fine in well lit rooms, the capability to deal with backround light has increased massively in recent years. I guess billboards will maybe be a market for them, but I mean, 103" billboards already exist, bigger ones in fact. Look at the screens you get in the centres of world cities, they're huuuuuuge.
I know someone who would buy one just to play his xbox on it... they have that much money, might even point it out to them...
