At least it's unlikely to have the ROG tax on it... [or the ProART tax]... just the regular ASUS tax...
Those prices are proof of Nvidia telling us to do the same. While they have a more lucrative revenue stream, they're going to gouge everyone they can. The problem is we're dumb enough to keep buying at those prices.
Some might be, I haven't bought one since 2018, when I got a good deal on a GTX 1070 ti at Amazon. Still does the job nicely.
"Interesting" how their slides only compare these new cards to previous generations, not the original 4000-series cards.
Well in fairness and common sense what belmet would upgrade their existing 40 card to one of these? For most it will be previous gen who did not want their anus totally rammed, only partially. If the 4080s is good I may indulge at some point.
