I'd argue it's still better than 4070 4080 12G 4080 16G 4080 Super 12G 4080 Super 16G and respective pricing that they were initially aiming for
MSI does a thing, and is the only thing of theirs I have drooled over in years. The "expert" GPU. IE the one without dumb ass dragons and logos all over it.
Their only pony GPUs are the Ventus. The rest are nicely made, just tacky. This though? I am amazed no one has had the idea of using the genius FE design and refinining it. That has to be about the best looking card I have seen since, well, the FE. And about the only GPU I would not want to mount vertically to hide the gaudy back plate.
Where did you find that page with the drop down choice mate? Been looking and this daft boy can't find it.
No worries blue, it's a bit of an odd one as it's a fair way down if you're scrolling: https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/graphics-cards/40-series/rtx-4080-family/#specs
The big difference for the 4080 is that they knocked the price down by ~£200 (in theory...) I was a bit worried that the 4070S would make me less happy with my 4070, but none of the cards have 6/8 pin power any more! I can rest easy that my short PSU cables are useful only with what I have
I mean there are adapters but I would also have a PSU cost on top if I too wanted to go the new cable route
Awesome. I mean it may have helped if I wasn't searching on a tiny phone screen. Probably not though.
4070 Super reviews available in all the usual places if anyone’s interested. Seems to be basically equivalent to a 3080ti.
4070Ti Super reviews are out and it's.... er.... a 4070Ti with 4GB of extra VRAM. *yay*?! Or to put it another way, barely faster than the £200 cheaper 4070 Super ..
Yeah strange that one. I mean, apparently the Ventus X3 (which most reviewers got) has a problem (this doesn't surprise me, cheap ass whack card) but yeah I think GN summed it up best with "meh". I paid £629 for my 6950XT and it's basically dead level all things considered. So it is literally meh.
