It's that time of year again so, like I did last year, I'm doing another game streaming marathon to raise funds for an awesome charity close to heart, St David's Hospice Care. In their own words... The reason I'm raising money for this charity is to try and help them keep doing what they do. They provided a massive amount of support to me and my family while my father was dying a few years ago. Sadly this year both of my grandfathers have passed away, and again St David's Hospice Care were there to support my family again. Charities need our help now more than ever. This has been a pretty crappy year for a lot of people and it's only going to get harder; people are cutting back on charitable donations and funding is drying up. So. I'm going to be doing pretty much the same thing I did last year: 2x24hr sessions streaming video games. Shenanigans kick off on Friday 4th December at 1000(GMT). I'll play for 24hrs, take a break for a day, and then resume at 1000(GMT) on Sunday 6th. This year it's going to be a bit more varied; I'll be streaming some PS4 games, but I can now also capture from retro hardware! I'm largely leaving the games up to the community: there are some games I want to play, and I'll be starting with COD: Warzone, but I'm largely opening it up to the community! I have a survey... poll... thing... where people can vote on the games they want to see (I'll drop all the links shortly). So where can you find out more? The JustGiving page is here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hbpg2020 My Twitch page is here: https://www.twitch.tv/hasbeardplaysgames And finally... you can vote* on the games I'll be playing here: https://forms.office.com/Pages/Resp...__oSF96FUN1g3UEw4NzQ4UFc0VFpIM05VM01TN01BSS4u *No registration or signup is necessary and I am not collecting any information - this form is totally anonymous. Even if you can't donate, sharing the link and even tuning into the stream will be most appreciated. Thank you for reading!
I'm in the reverse boat, I may not be able to watch a lot of the stream but will donate either way, that seems the more important way round. Wait...there was a Stand Alone Complex PS2 game?
Many thanks, it is very much appreciated! <3 There was indeed! I only ever played it once... Click to embiggen (and therefore read the description!)
Ah, it's begun! Bold of you to wear a half-life t-shirt considering the abysmal performance you put in last year
It was nothing shameful, just a point where you were running round in circles failing to find the objective, entirely attributable to lack of sleep. I see you've ditched the fake *** this time so fair play to you
Ding ding, round 2.... And he's off again. 2/3 of his target raised, go go Byron! I'll visit later, maybe after the evening games session and provide some immoral support
Just popped in on my way to bed, I'll ping you in the morning. Congrats on hitting your base target, go for the stretch goal! Don't forget to do some stretching exercises regularly, neck / shoulders / upper back...
Nope! 40/48hrs is enough I'm afraid! Literally everything aches (even my bloody feet ffs!), my eyes hurt, I've had a headache since I got up, I'm feeling sick... Nope. Time for bed! Huge huge thanks for all the support, you've all been incredible <3.
I checked with Sarah Connor and it's definitely fine that you're not a machine Edit - just skimmed what I missed, thought it was hilarious and entirely justified that you played Stand Alone Complex for all of about 2 minutes before going "noooope". Jankiest looking game ever.
