Gorgeous! Always nice to see a fellow Dutchman pull something this cool off. Loving the detail on the turbine but actually I really dig that fan-pipe-to-cpucooler assembly. Very inventive!
Yes thats fun to watch, very helpfull Thx!! Same here! lol thx Thanx/dank u Did some changes at the back end of the turbine to finish this looking like the original drawing, except for the teeth i tried to make it match almost exactly. Took a cap from a spray can. The 3 little fins helps to center the cone, which was a little "off" Redid some of the wiring at the side Final result As u wish, sure it will Did some shopping in the mean time as well I was looking for a replacement of my old (very tough build) IBM keyboards and i stumbled onto this The keypad can be taken out for easy cleaning, optional keypads for specific games are on the market, this is a nice board! Gamepad, headphone and mouse can be plugged in at the back Roccat Kone which comes with extra weights And a handy wireless gamepad So after a nice R&R its time for part 2 of this project, dressing up the DvD Drive, i pretty much figured out how to do this, don't expect this to be finished very quickly Samsung SH-222 drive which comes with 2 extra faceplates, ivory and silver. This is part of a Warhammer landing pad which i can use for the ceiling part The turbine is going to be hanging under this As of now gathering materials for the ceiling, sidepanels and backpanel. -more follows
Thx Nutman and Angel @Canard Thx again for the tip, projects like that are giving me ideas like bringing some of the panels to life with leds Made a ventilator unit -
if your painting skills are up to it which im sure they will be this is going to be one of the best looking build going! thankyou for the update the addition of external leds is genius!
just read all this log and must say your skills in modding are truly superbe mate. 5 stars +rep and subbed
Thx guys, progress so far.. Plastic bezel used for the backpanel Made some airvents Out of 3 of these, it took me a while before i found one that had the right shape for this Making bases Fitted red leds All the wiring will be fed through this panel towards the PSU Some progress ceilingpanel Mounted the top part of the DvD to a piece of wood and secured it to the remaining part of the HD rack i kept The engine will be secured through the bottom plate with a bolt -for safety, all the wiring passes through the drive into the backpanel -more soon
You are such a total classic awesome modder @nton , everything you look at you see as a potential part for a mod. +rep quite sad this might be your last project (just re-checked the first page & says probably ), love this type of modding, so absolutely creative .
Thx man, really appreciated!! Yeah i said that cause its a lot of work fun thing is; new ideas keep popping up which gives me even MORE work but it's fun doing it
Insain work man ! Loving the attention to detail! So sorry I didnt find your work earlier .. Will you be showing off your work somewhere in nederland ? I'd buy a ticket for that !
I really love the detail in this one! I always admire people who can make those things.. It looks so realistic as in that it could be a real scale model of an existing engine!
oh MY GOOD GOD! I've literally had my jaw on the floor since the very first page of this mod totally mind boggling amazing work dude, you put so much time, effort, care and attention to detail, its just superb, keep it up and I'm subbed
