I did a majority vote for AMD... Rig 1: Monarch: TBird @ 1633 (see sig) (WinXP) Rig 2: Phoenix: K6-2 366 (Win2k) Rig 3: Ptarmigan: P2-266 (linux) Rig 4: Tanager: NEC Vr2141 131MHz (WinCE) I may be about to do some juggling....Will make Ptarmigan a 433 Celeron on win2k, and change Phoenix over to Linux.
Haven't voted yet because I'm still using Intel (Katmai P3 500) at the moment, but my AMD system should be up and running by the end of the week

thanks Rich to explain to people.......I have had: The wrong mobo (non-RAID version) sent to me from dabs (about 3 weeks to replace) A non-unlocked AthlonXP, despite ordering the unlocked one (returned to Overclock and re-unlocked in about a week) A duff Chieftec PSU thats going back (finally realised that was the problem, and got a 350w Enermax that works) A horrific lack of time due to work (saturdays) coursework and GCSE mocks! The first stuff (memory and mobo) was ordered in November, its taken this damn long to get all the stuff that is actually what I ordered in the first place and actually works! Oh and now i bodged the order for some fans from OCS so I need to contact them before I get the final stuff gawd!

Ive got the following: Rig 1: TBird 1.4Ghz @ 1.54Ghz (Win XP & 2k pro) Rig 2: TBird 1Ghz (runs Linux with a modified firewall, its used for connecting the rest of the house to the internet, and also as a fileserver) Rig 3: P3 750 Laptop Rig 4: Duron 800 that sits at home for when I go home I'm still looking for a cheapish (no more than £100) P2 300 or K6-2 of similar speed, just to run a firewall, and maybe do some file serving too. Then Rig 2 can become a dedicated linux box

AMD AMD have 1.4GHz in main rig, and K6-2 500Mhz in the second. The intels are sitting in a box in the attic.

Intel Celeron 766 for my bad ass main rig. I'm waiting for total domination from one side or the other before I upgrade.
intel P4 2.26 Northwood B for me for now ive had 6 AMD systems previous to this and the new XP2800 might restore my faith in AMD
