OMG whatever, BS, bigZ sucks!!! *starts flame war*

ps I ride both "buses" and tbh if they had a fight it'd last a lot of rounds. For normal use there's really sod all difference IMO.

OMG THIS THREAD IS SO OLD!

Also I had no intention on stating a "flame war" I simply stated the facts of life within my house hold. we'll edit this bit out again, as I don't want a fanboy war in this thread

[off topic]a flamewar should be started on the topic of flamewars I recon.[/off topic]

Ensure that the email address contained within your forum profile is correct and up to date. You're about a hairs breadth away from being banned- it's not clever re-instating portions of your post that a moderator has removed due to it being inappropriate.

I emailed you at around 9 or 10am GMT on 26/1/04 to the email address related to your forum account, if it's wrong, change it to an address that works. I will send again to the address registered to your forum account

DO NOT EDIT OUT AN ADMIN/MODERATORS EDIT TO YOUR POST, it is against the forum rules! Edits made to your post are done so for a reason, re-editing out a moderators comments, especially a warning is rather stupid and childish. It also shows that you could do with learning how to grow up a little. You're on very thin ice at the moment, I suggest you tread VERY carefully one more step out of line, and I won't have any hesitation in hitting the ban button.

Grow up and buck your ideas up, consider this your final warning.

I got your seccond email, but I never got this first email you spoke of; i believe that you said something like "I've already eamailed you a warning once before".

From the email I got recently.
There was no hostile text im my quote, have you no sence of humor? I was mearly posting my views, there was no need to start with all this censorship. I have every right to my views, If someone doesnt agree with them then I'll understand completely becase they also have the right to thier opinions.

I'm sory to have to post this but I feel very strongly about internet censorship and if this post had made it my last then so be it.

that email that I forwarded was in reference to another thread where you'd quite blatently flamed someone... I'm not going into the discussion of that thread now as it's ruining this thread. Editing out a moderators comments is against the rules, if you have a problem with what a moderator has done, either email that moderator, or email RTT, we're approachable people, we're just doing a (rather unpleasant at times) job because we like to help the community out, we don't get paid for what we do. I notice you added me to your MSN list, I would talk to you now but I'm on my way out to a pool match, so it'll have to wait til another time, sorry that I can't speak right now, but I'm already late.

Will speak to you later should you feel it necessary to do so.

ok... i voted intel... all systems here runs intel :)

    my comp: P4 2.6Ghz 800mhz
    dads : P4 2,6Ghz 800mhz
    mom : P4 2.6Ghz (i think) 533mhz
    lappy : P4 2,4Ghz
    linux box (running winxp ;) ): P3 450Mhz

my comp. beats a amd XP 2400+ OC'ed system :eyebrow:

honestly, i don't think there is much difference between AMD and intel, only intels run cooler and have more protection agains heat... They also seem to run a bit more stable...

It depends on how you're referring to a 2400+ being beaten... It'll be beaten any day in DVD encoding and video editing, but the AMD system will stick up for itself against the P4 2.4/2.6 in games. It all depends what you're going to use your system for. I don't video edit or encode, so I have no need for a P4 in that sense. However in this day in age, whatever processor you buy you'll be more than alright at running just about anything you throw at it to an extent where you won't notice a difference.

The arguement that Intel processors run cooler is an arguement that will always go on, but the reported power output of the prescott at over 105W is not "cool" for a mainstream processor, it's far from it. My barton @ 2.7Ghz, 2.15v is rated at around 116W for an indication of how "cool" the prescott is... ;)

105W from a core that's ~110mm^2 would equal something near 1/2 the heat output of the sun :)

    You are kiddin', right?

well.. i don't play much... i have played the savage demo lately, and that's pretty much it...

when i talk about beaten it's some test a friend (he with the amd comp.) gave me... (pc mark 03?)

honestly, i don't care as long as I can run mIRC, MSN, opera and watch a Divx movie at the same time ;)

i do some video editing though... but nothing big.

The northwood's wasted power outputs aren't too bad, but the P4 isn't cooler than the Athlon 64, I never try and get into the arguements about which is cooler, because I don't particularly trust either AMD or Intel with regard to their proposed heat outputs. The prescott is reported to be very warm though.

    My rig: P4 northwood-c
    Older sister: P4 Prescott
Younger sister: pentium-mmx running debian linux
    olds: northwood-b
Wish for: mobile barton and A64 (might as well wish for a EE while i'm at it tho)

Work: about 10 P2 desktops, dual p3 server (beast of a machine)
will upgrade server to Dual Operons :D

Intels are great because they just don't die. I accidently stopped the cpu fan on my parent's machine (2.54b) and ran benchmarks on it for the next two hours. When it finally crashed it was due to a faulty video card. Try THAT on your AMD.
