I think the concentration on Spoiler Kings Landing is going to fade next season, and we'll be seeing a lot of more of Spoiler Esteros, Stannis at The Wall and Arya at Braavos .
That is pretty amazing. I mean, you know there's got to be lots of CGI in there, but it's done so well. Apart from the gore/killing bits, there's not been much as I've been watching that's made me think, oh that's obviously CGI.
I don't watch it on TV (when broadcast) I only started watching GoT a few weeks ago after watching some clips on utube, I then bought a series 1-4 blue ray box set thinking I had the complete series as I had not heard about S5 Never mind, it's an excellent series and I'll gladly buy S5 set when released and it's far more enjoyable to watch 2-3-4 episodes back to back than one episode a week which drives me nuts! I'm often way behind on playing the latest games and watching the latest films and TV series but with most series released as box sets it doesn't bother me, I've recently watched some clips of 'Breaking Bad' which looks quite good and I hear has been quite successful time for another box set.
Slight exaggeration there. Replace released with leaked, and in 480p quality to boot. I'll skip. In other news, does anybody know of a way of watching GoT in the UK that isn't NowTV? We tried NowTV last year and live streaming of the episodes fell apart nearly every week because Sky are absolute morons. If it isn't obvious, we don't have Sky/Virgin.
pretty sure its sky exclusive so unless you get sky or nowtv (or sky go) then its a torrent or wait till blu ray is out
I'm a Virgin customer with every damn channel but Sky Atlantic. Saying that I've signed up for Now TV, £6.99 per month, just to watch GoT, as I enjoy it so much I feel guilty torrenting it.
The fact they have caught up with certain character arcs is no real surprise. There biggest problem is the final 2 books likely won't be out before 2020 at his current pace. Estimates put winds of winter the 6th book between 2016 and 2018. HBO will get to a point where they run out of content at the current rate. The gaps between books have been huge. What happens when they run out of stuff will be intresting as a tv show going on break for 2-3 years is unheard off.
Faultless? Season 4 was a shambles. Streaming whilst an episode was broadcasting live rarely worked, and if it did suffered from quality drops and buffering issues. Sure, it was fine once the episode had been out a few days and the use dropped off.
I had none of those problems and I live streamed most of them. My internet was also appalling at the time but still no issues.
Eh, it wasn't for me, nor for the millions of people yelling at them in the support forums and Twitter. I've signed back up again as it seems to be the only option, so fingers and toes crossed.
0200 may mean better picture quality as less streamers? Last night's effort on NowTV was alright. It dropped just as GoT was starting, but I managed to get back in as the HBO logo appeared on screen. Single bit of buffering for 2 seconds at one point. The only thing noticeable was the semi-regular drops in quality to well below 1080p, and the horrific macroblocking/compression artifacting on blacks ( Spoiler Dany going to see the dragons was really bad for this ). Overall Sky get a 7/10 for last night's technical efforts. Hope it holds up for the rest of the season really.
