I thought the cropping on the first one was deliberate so all multiplayers had the same width of view...
    Or was that another game?

I think it is very stupid to not include x360 controller support especially with it using gfwl, personally I use key and mouse for all pc games except driving games, but what about people who have semi disabled hands like my bro and find it much more comfortable to use a pad.

On the blag widescreen thing though it didn't bother me whilst I had a play on it on my 16:10 monitor.

Does this mean that the mouse-acceleration has been fixed? I Didn't bother reading the review as I skipped the last game due to this :p

I don't remember there being mouse-acceleration in Bioshock 1 ... ? Sure it wasn't Windows mouse-acceleration or mouse-lag? Or maybe I just managed to turn it off and have forgotten it was there ...

Before I buy Bioshock 2, I need to finish Bioshock 1 still. Hopefully that means 2 will be in the Bit-Tech Steam Bargains thread by that time :thumb:

I'm not sure why anyone would want to use an XBox controller for the PC version of Bioshock, unless the difficulty wasn't hard enough and they fancied an additional challenge.

Honestly, the publishers are more than capable of dragging PC gaming down to console levels without us helping them on the way.

As for the widescreen, it was infuriating in V1. I played originally on a 4:3 monitor when it was launched but I re-bought the game on steam for tuppence-ha'penny last year, and when I played on widescreen it was torture... None of the PoV 'fixes' worked either...

Hopefully, it won't be the same second time around.

Maybe it's marketing / political as so many gamers are averse to the 'OH ITS ONLY A CONSOLE PORT WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GOOD GAMES' stuff.

So they are making the point that this is a PC game made for PC, it's so PC it doesn't even support controllers.

Personally I really enjoy some games on the PC with a control pad, namely Assassin's creed (and other similar platformers), and racing games of course! I'm pro choice.
