So far the only things I think fear happening is...

    1. no magazine exclusive content. If its there, it should be on BT's site.

    2. Forced bias. There is already alot of news on Intel on Bit's site for the last 4 months... or just a lack of news and new for/from AMD?

I'm a subscriber to Custom PC and PC Pro, and Bit-tech is the only technology website I visit. The move is good from Dennis' perspective as their online portfolio is quite weak. Despite a redesign of the Custom PC website and an increased 'focus' on the online space - with the podcast - they're still miles behind. And, it makes sense to buy Bit-tech, relatively cheaply, and gain an established audience.

The knock-on affects for Bit-tech, I assume, will be a bigger budget, and a 'better relationship' with manufacturers. This means there should be more reviews and more inside information. Anyone who is a subscriber to both the aforementioned magazines will notice the crossover in consumer and gaming hardware reviews. This will be probably extended to Bit-tech.

I do hope you continue to write more features, though. Custom PC has dropped significantly in quality with staff changes - I've been a reader since issue one. And, the editorial content has been replaced with ads, ads and more ads. Perhaps I'm just outgrowing Custom PC, but I think PC Pro is much better value for money. And, they've lots of editorial content - Dick Pountain's Idealog column is especially interesting to read. His column last month actually makes me want to buy his book!

Well if you get a raise, then me and Doug are definitely in need too.

Congrats Bit-staff, but I have to say it: don't f*ck this up. :thumb:

*cough* sell outs *cough* seriously I will be pissed if Bit-Tech falls the same way Toms Hardware did, when they sold out ~_~ that site hasnt been nearly as good as it use to be... and well Im gong to stop talking now as I dont feel like getting into a rant.... so as long as NOTHING changed in the ways of article coverage, the depth of coverage and well the general feel then alright.

as long as you keep up the columns section I'll be happy, but it does seem to be getting a little too quiet in there lately, and please write more staff columns, i think the developer ones are great but I'd like some non-game centric ones too. Well done though

Well, I want however much Dennis paid, divided by the number of articles on bit to compensate me for my one piece of writing for the site if we're being money-grabbers.

Congratulations. I have only 2 requests:
#1 - Don't change BT. (Seriously, CPC online is a total mess. -Check out the number of bots in the member list.)
#2 - If there is a BT mag in the future, You MUST have a Relix swimsuit issue every year.:p
