wish i could use my duron 1600 applebred here, i can get low 50's on air with that thing @ over 2300Mhz. Got a 1.1Ghz morgan core duron in me dads box but that cant be used either, and i cant even afford the £10 to have a play atm :waah:

looks like im outta this one *sulks away* :sigh:

And you haven't added my score on the 8RDA+ (I'm hoping to get it up to 1m06 at least soon, seeing as yodasnostril has that with less speed and only a couple MHz more FSB)

Actually, I think it's to do with optimizations made to the NF7 by Abit, ones which DFI took off to get their super-high FSBs. I'm pretty sure there's a difference in performance between the Infinity/Lanparty and the NF7-S, for example, and one possible reason for that is a few options in the Ultra 400 chipset that either mean high FSB, or better performance per clock - and the companies have tweaked these differently. I've suggested to bigz that he try benchies at identical speeds with identical hardware between the two boards when he gets another Infinity, I'll be very interested as to how that turns out.

I'd also say that my 8RDA+, being a first-gen NF2 chipset as it is, has none of these optimizations either way, and is generally just a bit crap. ;)

Sorry, should have said what i what cooling i was using etc. But yeh, air is correct, and also the mobo too.

I'm tempted to throw it back in and see what i can achieve with a higher fsb and lower multi.

It would be nice to see a comparison between the two running identical specs.

All I can really say is...yay! Somehow managed to knock a clear 3 seconds off my previous 8RDA+ time, and got a lovely new max death screenie (it was really max death, the computer restarted as soon as it was saved :D) while I was at it. I love 8rdavcore ;)
