I ought to smack you noiz
my pc is built now had a lot of trouble getting the motherboard in as there is almost no space between the hole and the cd drive enclosure.
when i put it on the fan is so loud like a vacuum, the bios temperatures were ranging between 40c and 55c im on cpuid hw monitor and its coming up as 100% fan speed and the temperatures are coming up as 4c the gpu is only 3c im confused whats gonig on please help?
That all sounds so wrong.
You should install the DVD drive after the Mobo.
Did you use thermal paste?
What temps are you getting in the BIOS?
What kit did you actually buy in the end?
Slow down, take a screenshot of HWmonitor, then post it up somewhere so we can see exactly what you mean.
ive used the mobo cd
thermal paste was already on the cooler
bios temps between 40c and 55c
i got an msi motherboard amd a83870k 3.1ghz
ive done a screenshot. please tell me how to post it on here
That temperature is far too high for idle temps, especially on AMD.
What cooler are you using? How tightly did you screw the heatsink down? I assume that you did remove the plastic cover from the thermal paste?

It's on the blue bar running across the top of this thread.
ofcourse i removed the plastic its securly seated on the hinges like it shows on the manual
ive uploaded the picture
i am using the stock cooler, the stock cooler is really tiny! tiyn fan and heatsink should be better for a 3.1ghz quad core with built in gpu
Now open it, right click and select copy image URL.
Then come back to post in this thread, click on the Insert Image button (looks like two mountains against a yellow sky) and paste the image URL.
Then click Post Quick Reply.
Almost right, you copied the webpage not the image URL, here it is:
Ok there is something very wrong with your temperatures. What cooler are you using? Are the CPU cooler fans spinning up when the PC is on?
i am using the stock cooler that came with it, it is a tiny cooler, the fan spins up violently when i turn it on
Ok, did you remove the plastic covering the thermal paste before you installed the cooler?
yeah i said already also
Ok try realtemp to see if that gives you the same readings. If the fans are spinning up madly it means one of two things. Dodgy MOBO temperature sensors or a badly seating heatsink.
its set in right i think, but whyis the fan extremely loud though its full speed according to hw monitor
Most stock heatsink fans do spin up violently during startup and then settle down.. If the heatsink you used had thermal paste preapplied.. I would wait for a while for it to cure and settle in before panicking... Would be worth adding a few more turns to the 4 screws holding the sink.
