We've done that.... Tranc3 was shot kinda close to his eye. I think UT04 Will be added to the list... seems like a must. Not everyone has UT3.... Also, I'm in the Northern Virginia area. Would like to play with you, but it seems a little to far.
Yeah, that is a bit far. UT2k4 is really nice because it doesn't check CD keys when you game on LANs - you can install all the computers with a single key, and they'll work just fine.
Serious Sam? That's great fun on co-op. I second UT2K4. A decent RTS is also not a bad idea. Any C&C.

What about Dawn of War for an RTS, I think the latest patch allows you to play without having to have the disk in and as far as I am aware when playing on a LAN it doesn't check the CD key either, might need to check that though.
Dawn of war is awesome so to is company of heroes. Also the Vietcong games (1 or 2) are really good as well. Normally when I lan we can only get about 3~4 of us together at once so we have enough room to all use a projector each, It looks awesome. Once I get a bigger screen (24" hopefully) then I might consider forgoing the projector at our next lan. But for atmosphere you simply can not get better than all gaming on projectors.
This might be too late, but we always used to finish off the evening (morning) with a game or 20 of Atomic Bomberman yup requirers you to run IPX, has some nasty sounds, but good lord is it fun But I'm sure you can find it somewhere for free !
What's wrong with Serious Sam? Me and my friends played it at the last LAN we had and it was amazing fun - everyone loved it, and I was the only person who had played it before!

I think the best games for a LAN party are ... Company of Heroes, especially with its huge maps. Age of Mythology - in my opinion, serious fun. CS - good old fragging always needed Insurgency - You want some serious FPS with teamwork? You got it. Battlefield 2
