    Benchmark Scores

If an E6750 at stock (2.66GHz) scores 1000, how come a G9650 at 4.62GHz can't beat it in the multi-tasking benchmark? That E6750/P5Q Premium must have been a hell of a combination to be outperforming so many modern set ups.

Bit confused by the Turbo Boost issue. I have the i5-760 running on an Asus P7P55D-E LX motherboard.

On initial boot into Win7-64, CPU-Z shows my CPU multiplier varying from 22 up to 25, clearly in line with Turbo Boost specs.

However, when I run Prime95 stress test, 100% on all four cores, the CPU multiplier sticks to 22 (i.e. +1 from stock). I thought this, then, was the Turbo Boost problem referred to here.

However, according to other sources on the interweb, Turbo Boost by design will only go +1 when all four cores are being used... This is effectively what I saw.

So, is there a problem with Turbo Boost on the i5-760 or not? Any further thoughts?

It's been about 6 months since the release of the processor and ASrock still hasn't fixed the mentioned Turbo Boost bug.

Oddly enough, Intel's specs site changed the max Turbo boost frequency from 3560 to 3330.
