A couple of custom sleeved 8 pin cables, made by the very talented and generous James,or shrop as he is known here, over at Pexon-PC's. These are needed for the Zotac 1080. Which I note has increased in price by 24 quid since yesterday.

I'm feeling this. I wanted to make sure I had shelf space remaining where things didn't make sense to put in a box, but I ordered another two shelving units last night and I'm feeling I may need some more boxes now...

Now I just need to actually sort junk from the shelves to the boxes, which is probably a service they should offer with the boxes themselves. Slowly but surely though, gaining control back.

If I ever see them on sale I just buy 'em. I use them for pretty much anything and everything, the fact that they're (largely) stack-able is just gravy.

Staples occasionally has them at huge discounts - I bought six small ones last year, but I could do with a few (read lots) more.

    To replace my 64GB iPhone 6, a 64GB 6S on o2 business, for my own personal/business use:

And to replace my Microsoft Lumia 640XL, a Samsung Galaxy S7 on Vodafone, along with several other phones for other staff members, through work:

I'd wanted to order the S7 Edge, but the mobile hardware budget is little tight for the next 12 months and the boss wouldn't let me spend another £60 for it. But I'm not complaining, the S7 is still a brilliant phone and a big step up in both software and hardware from the Lumia, which I've grown a bit sick of mainly due to Windows Phone. M$ can flog the dead horse all they want, but iOS and Android are far superior mobile operating systems and the only two that 99% of app developers are interested in supporting.

Plus a Spigen tough armor case and tempered glass screen shield for the S7, and another Spigen GLAS Tr for the iPhone since the last one did its job and saved my iP6 from a cracked screen and many scratches. I've put the 6S into the Element Case Sector Pro which also saved the iP6 from being obliterated by drops and bumps on many occasions.

So now comes the battle of the flagship phones in my own pockets. Only time will tell which one I'll use more for day to day things. It will probably still be the iPhone to be honest. I'm a day one, early November 2007 iPhone user so as well as almost 9 years of getting to know iOS inside out, my Apps, data and so on are also what keep me squarely in the Apple camp. It's hard to get away from them when you own a few hundred pounds worth of iOS apps, and let's face it the upgrade process from phone to phone is still so easy. The "data set" I backed up and restored from/to my 6/6S last week is technically the same set of data that I backed up and restored from/to my iPhone 1G/3G in 2008, albeit much larger these days!

Conversely, at the start of this week I upgraded my Mum's Galaxy S4 Mini to an iPhone 6S too, and as easy as it should have been, transferring her messages, contacts, photos and app data across between OSes turned out to be a PITA that took me (her very experienced IT engineer son) almost 5 hours and a reluctant software purchase to achieve. Dear help the technically inept trying to achieve the same thing.

The only reason I have a second phone is to make and receive work calls and emails on, but in reality I have all of my email accounts set up on both phones, and any of our 70+ staff will call me on either the work number or my own, any time of the day. The work phone was initially just so I wouldn't get silly large bills on my own phone for calling the service desk on their 0870 number. I've never given it to anyone but the boss did, so now I have to carry both all day every day.
