I've avoided some really nice properties due to lack of internet as whilst you can be the optimist and say it'll surely be fixed soon because everybody wants good 'net the reality of infrastructure updates rarely matches my optimism level as I've discovered with EV charging network.

Surprised you can't get good mobile from at least on network in Bristol it's generally well covered most places I've been.

Before we moved I never got too excited about properties until I'd checked the broadband connection.

Wifi not really an issue now Starlink is available. £89 a month, which I think is really reasonable for what you’re getting.

Yeah, I checked the fibre availability before we moved and it confirmed fibre was being served from our local cabinet. Unfortunately, those checks don't (or didn't) let you know if the all the available channels in the exchange cabinet were already assigned.

I spent the first 6-8 months with a 6 meg ADSL line, with two teenagers addicted to Twitch and Youtube. T'was not a fun time.

....£440 for the hardware, £50 to ship it to you, and then £90 per month. £1,570 in your first year is a steep price for a broadband connection which has more than double the latency of the UK average.

As satellite broadband goes, it is indeed very impressive. But I am yet to be convinced that it will be anything other than a plaything for the well-off.

And if you want to take advantage of its biggest feature, the fact it works anywhere, you have to pay even more.

Plus, frankly, I'd rather move to RFC 1149 than give Melon Husk a single god-damn penny of my money.

Do the dishes still overheat if you place them in direct sunlight?

    I mean... there's also that.

Don't buy a Tesla, folks. Get your EV from an actual car company that knows how to finish, sell, service, and maintain cars. You know, companies whose CEOs don't openly mock customers on Twitter when customers complain that their Teslas have been supplied to them with missing brake pads.

Satellite broadband where the dish needs a clear view of the sky but the dish will also fail when it has a clear view of the sky. Classic Musk.

Incontrivertible evidence, as far as I'm concerned - I'd trust those experts if they told me the sky was pink.

    Can 100% vouch for that...

OK, so she is "only" half Ragdoll (Siberian being the other half), but I can assure you that the madness is still very much there... She went from scraggly floof to BIG derp in a very short amount of time.

Wow, only 9 weeks between those two. Loving those eyes, let's hope that they stay the same. Kiki's went from a real stone-grey (she didn't have the "normal" kitten blue eyes) to the bright golden yellow, which is nice, but the Ragdoll blue would have been amazing to see.
