Well I bought my first BMX parts in 9 months. A record.

For this. The silver one is going on another bike that doesn't have one.

    I have the matching brake.

Any way, the biggest problem has been bringing them down into the house (and taking them apart, and rebuilding them) just so I can get some nice pics to make videos. As such I have stopped at about 5 videos as it causes serious family arguing. Mostly fuelled by mum who has no concept of others just herself (99% sure she is autistic too tbh). Any way, I put them all up there a couple of weeks back after a mighty argument (there were two downstairs) and yeah......

Sitting up in the loft yesterday after putting them back together I started to think. Instead of taking Mohammed to the mountain why not take the mountain to him? IE, make the loft look nice for photo shoots and not the dirty grotty messy hole it is lol.

First up was the flooring. This cost me £70 and I bought far more than I need.

I am going to use it on the 4x2s that run up to the slates as well. It is self adhesive, so bloody easy.

That only leaves the nasty breeze block wall. Firstly I was on Amazon late last night and these popped up with 30% off for £19 delivered.

That's like, all of them. 6 shelves with all of the brackets. That really only leaves small things like a piece of skirting board (easy, will go B&Q or Wickes) and the wall itself. After lots of searching it now seems that fire proof PVC cladding is a thing. It weighs sod all, is tongue and groove and you just glue it on. It is also very easy to cut, meaning no power tools and far less mess.

They are 2.6m by 20cm. They will cost about £100 delivered. Should make for a very nice, clean looking photo set. As well as making it far more pleasant to work on bikes up there :) I will order those next week.

I’d probably look at something like the 13100, or 13400 if you think you want more cores, on the intel side. I had a 12100F in a small gaming box and it was a real cracker. Very low power draw, 4 cores hyperthreaded, decent clocks, and pretty cheap. Plus there are DDR4 mobos available in the B660 range if you’ve got RAM knocking around to re-use.

Oh the fun of choosing some great kit to go in there.
All that airflow is impressive for such a small case.
I still like the Densium 4 Plus v2, however it’s not so well cooled and is dependent on a riser

Just a couple of bits for my backup pc now hooked up to my old TV upstairs.

Twenty quid for a keyboard/mouse and a tenner for:

I needed BT for my headphones and figured why not on the WiFi. The homeplug went walkies downstairs so I could wire up the PS5 and TV anyway.

Not sure what I'll do with it, it's mainly for backup bits if there's an issue, but best to have it up and doing something than sat in a box like my X56 and 1155 systems.

I'm assuming you actually bought an ISO-layout keyboard, though? ;)

I have the same keyboard and it's... okay I guess. Lack of a Num Lock / Scroll Lock light is a pain in the hoop, though, especially when the cats have been walking over the desk :D Fortunately I have a wee utility that sits in the taskbar and shows whether Num/Scroll Lock are on or not, which is handy. Also wish there was a way to disable the media keys, as the cats love to open the Windows Calculator :D

@bawjaws So long as it's qwerty I don't care what arrives. It's only for navigation on the pc it's being used on so my only requirement was wireless and qwerty.

Fortunately my cat has more interest when I'm writing than when on a keyboard and tries to run off with my pens
