Looks good mate, dont go burning it down like we did on our UKMD private server. 10 days of hard work and we went exploring and the whole lot was ruined :-(

So i logged on to XM's server to find that someone upgraded my basement with 22 blocks of yellow wool.

Who could it possibly have been, i have no clue

updated but cant connect to survival server. guess it needs to be upgraded too?

 

Cant update the server because (Craft)Bukkit is not ready yet. I'll update as soon as possible

 

highly recommend getting to grips with Minecraft Portable (MCP) for patch days, particularly. It allows minecraft to run on multiple, unique, minecraft installs. Which means if you can't wait to play with the latest toys on SSP, then just setup a new MCP, patch up, and keep your clean SMP version at the previous version until bukkit is upgraded and XM is suitably convinced that it's stable and isn't going to cause him a day of pain to upgrade. this will always take a week or more, so don't be too much in hurry to update to the latest version!

I use MCP to play with mods on SSP too.

When 1.3 came out i just made a new windows profile for it. Easy peasy.

Survival could experience some downtime today...

I'm experimenting with the new 1.4 Bukkit and a plugins upgrade.
I can't run two servers side by side because the MySQL connectors bite each other.
One of the drawback of MySQL you could say (and i'm to lazy to create a test database )

That said, upgrade is not looking good
Can't get the GroupManager plugin to work just know and that's basically the backbone of the server.

I'll keep you guys posted

It seems the dudes from Essentials got GroupManager working, so that's up and running now. If everything goes according to plan, server will be up in a couple of hours

 

I had a dog once, his name was Nero. (Yes, he was almost all black) Don't know if I give the wolfs any names, but it certainly makes it more effective hunting for whool and skin.. ..probably abit safer exploring dungeons also, although they probably aint that effective against scellies and creepers.. I only wonder how rare they will be..

 

Go to the options.txt file in your .minecraft folder. Change guiScale to 2, no need for the NoUIresize mod anymore Now you have minecraft looking superb in full screen. Add that with http://borderlandscraft.blogspot.com/ 128x128 and you have a good looking game! Or just stick with the original if you like the retro style!

 

Survival server is up and running again!

- Running 1.4 now!!
- Updated all the plugins that could be updated to new versions, which means:
-- LWC now uses MySQL also
-- Nether preloads the Netherworld
-- Switched from TelePlus to Tele++ for compatibility, commands stay the same (/tp back, /tp origin)

Rest of the plugins did not change. Crowdcontrol is still controlling those damn Slimes

For those of you that where waiting:
Sorry it took a while, i'm very busy with work nowadays. When i come home in the evening i do not feel like playing around with the server all night long. The only time i have is in the weekends.
Because i'm fixing up my new house soon, that time is also gone for the coming couple of weeks

My twins are both sick with the flu - for the past week - and I have not been able to put in any work on battleships (nor get much sleep). Now I see that 1.4 is out - hooray - but we will still have to wait for hmod (due in a couple of days or so as far as I can gather).
