you'll all notice that two of the last three contestants seemingly jumped to their own demise in that video. i call fixing on this most prized of sporting events!

i just found the arena. it looks nice and there were sheep playing when i arrived.

 

Not just for that. I've got a whole range of deco-style buildings I was going to try out, but if people want to use the space they are welcome to after we've mapped out the main area for the central hall .

I think it would be nice (but a long job) to brick up the surrounding walls since the area is 4-5 blocks below sea level.

 

Hey guys long time lurker first time poster. I just registered here so I could get on your server. I do a lot of PC building and stuff and what not but I thought I would post here first.

Anyway it looks like a lot of cool stuff is being made here and hope I can contribute soon.

 

Yea, you know that huge area you cleared for me, Stickeh, well, I kinda filled it :O



And this is gonna take AGES to build. Just putting in the sand foundation took ~ 256 bricks

Best to do the two side towers and back wall first, then the curves, before tackling the front.

EDIT: I'm not sure about the front square edges with curves behind- gonna go back to the drawing board

Like we've told all the other new guys that have registered on the forum just to get the IP.
You will not get it right away. Frankly it is somewhat suspect for someone to register just to get hold of the IP to our Minecraft server, and thus I recommend that you stick around for a while. Contribute to the forum and make yourself known to us. Prove yourself to be trustworthy and you will most likely get the IP. Operating in this way has allowed us to keep griefing to an absolute minimum whilst at the same time ensuring the best possible community to play within.

 

I was wondering if anybody had rule 34 'd minecraft yet.....

The torches were most certainly not there. I've just replaced them all.

That means the banhammer may need to be dusted off and brought out ... or, at the very least, a public flogging might be in order. I nominate myself as the flogger, though I will get no pleasure from it - trust me.

Edit: Oh no! I just read the latest of Notch's blog entries. He has finished implementing falling damage and drowning(!). This will make underwater construction troublesome... well, to be frank, it will make any construction troublesome when height is required as well.

 

I think within a week someone will make a mod to remove them. Which should solve that problem.
