LCD-5" from Tundra Electronics thru E-bay $89.95 Control, It's on 2 switches in my stealthed bay bus, One toggles between inputs, the other is on and off... The inputs are from the S-video out on my Radeon 8500, converted into composite NTSC video.... the other input is an RCA on the back of my case, for VCR/Camcorder/etc... so I can run it without hogging up one of my monitor outputs... it runs off straight 12V, and has composite RCA NTSC input... if that clarifies anything.
hmmm.... would you write a guide to it and also tell us how the stealthed baybus works too... it looks purdy
Now that would be a lot of cash for me So that's a proper LCD display panel right? Hmm, do you have a seperate external converter for it? Is it the LCD's standard input method? I would LOVE to do something like this. I can watch cricket/TV while I am doing other stuff I should have been a millionare SnaRf
Yes, Converter built in to S-video connector housing (can't find link to circuit right now, but it's 1 470uF Cap across the signal, commons together, and output from the hi signal and - End of cap... Native input is an RCA, and this LCD is coded for american standard NTSC, or PAL n meaning it will accept the input from any american vcr, camcorder, digicam, etc... Guide WILL be forthcoming, but gotta give me time, I have 2 jobs, 2 kids, a wife, 8 computers and a house to take care of(just at home). My time is limited to short spurts of available time. I get to do stuff usually starting about midnight, until I fall asleep (Usually about 3 am)... then get up by 5:30 to go to work... Lack of sleep produces some pretty creative ideas, but also the lack of energy to complete them...
Ringing in with the link to the s-video to composite adapter: http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/circuits/svideo2cvideo.html /edit..opps double post...
I used a helper spring on the far side (The side away from the gearing) that helps it up, and turns off the gravity so to speek. it also keeps it straight when in the up position, The slight cockeyed look when it is down is also due to this spring (I think I have too much tension, Might try to find a weaker spring...) Don't know the specs on the exact weight right now, but minus the friction against my sliding rails (metal on metal) my tray has NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER lifting it... just try to hold your cd-rom tray open once after it is almost in... It's a pretty tough mechanism.
Wow.. I have the first bit of a guide done, as far as the switch, I used one off a Jeep I found in the junkyard... Wiring as follows... Code: 0------------To Motor + + wire | ------o o \ / X DPDT Centering switch (From car window) - wire / \ ------o o | 0-----------To Motor -
Hmm, could you by any chance let me know the product code that Tundra uses? (LS5c?) I wanna see if I can find an equivalent somewhere. Thanx SnaRf
Pics appear to be down Just waiting for Pflumingo to email them to me and then we can get them back up! (seems they've killed his host/bandwidth ) anyone got any cached images in their temp files?? could do with 'em right now
There are too many people accessing the Web site at this time. Its linked on hardocp which means mucho bandwidth
Sexeh!!! How did you get it to slide in/out??? I was thinking of using a server (controled by a PIC with a PWM signal) to do something similar, but for the CDROM/DVDROM covers..... Mike...
Sorry, I am at work right now, And can't even access my own site... This sucks, Anyways, I have emailed the Pictures to RTT, Rtt YGM... Thanks.
brilliant!!! RTT get them up ASAP!!!! This is the *current* coolest mod ever... pflamingo great work.... Mike....
Thanx. wow. 3 days, nearly 3000 views... I think my server might just be smoking... I know it is breathing easier now...
LCD This is very cool! I am more interested in a guide on how to install a 5" LCD and interfacing it with my video card than making one go up and down. Any chance you could post a guide on what model LCD you used, how you mounted it, what tools or mods you had to make, etc.-etc.? I use a KingWin case, very similar to your Lian Li. Thanks!
