Except when viewing the demot thread over a GPRS network on an underpowered smartphone :hehe:

I blame the creator of the forum for not implementing it in the first instances. :)

    (Care to explain how?) :)

User CP then edit options. Scroll down a bit and you'll see it.

    Thanks mate! :D

I just can't wait to see Si_the-dude GTX Titans benchmark for comparison.
Hopefully he can get them benched tomorrow to see how well they perform. :)

    3DMark 11 Extreme Preset!

    3930K @ 5GHz HT enabled
    16GB (2400MHz 10 12 12 31 2T) Running @ 2133MHz 9 11 10 25 142 1T
    3x EVGA GTX 670 F.T.W+ 4GB @ 1346MHz core - 7114MHz memory

(As I have flashed my cards with a modified vbios, my boost clock on standard is 1228MHz, so with the extra +120, it set the boost to 1346MHz. Also increased the power limit to 300% and Voltages to 1.215v for a real solid stable OC!)

No hole of fame this time, as to many people are benching with 4 GPU's....May have to look into another... :D

BTW, this how I managed to get a stable 1346MHz OC on the GPU's: Some extra fans, and some masking tape to keep the fans free floating! :D

GPU temps without fans run 19c Idle on all 3.
    Max temps under full load
    GPU1 37C
    GPU2 39C
    GPU3 44C

With the fans is the same. The extras airflow is helping keep the VRAM on the back of the cards cool, as well as the rest of the PCB's.

So that's how I managed a stable OC of 1346MHz on the core. :)

    Yep! :rock::rock::rock:

Which vbios did you use exactly? I was only just reading about this option myself since I have a Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce x3 which like the F.T.W. is housed on a GTX 680 PCB. Tempted to have a play modifying my own card! Any details appreciated! :thumb:

My own vbios, but used a Bios modifying tool to do it. :)

    GTX600 series vbios editing/flashing

    600 series firmware modifier - http://www.v3dt.com/nvidia/600/

This is pretty straight forward to do. If your cards voltage is limited to 1.15v (or whatever the figure is), then this will let you increase it up to 1.213v. That may well free up some more overclocking potential. There are also other features in that piece of software.

You will need a copy of your original bios file which you can grab through GPU-Z. Make sure it is saved as a .rom file.

    Alternatively.....

Kepler Golden Bios (KGB) editing tool - https://www.dropbox.com/s/fsxyvofr1idazhm/kgb_0.6.2.zip

This is a console application run via command prompt. To unlock your bios you will need to enter the following:

kgb.exe your_bios_name.rom unlock *(be sure to have a copy of your original bios file).

By default it will unlock to 150% Power, Voltage 1.1875v (1.2125v On Boost), and Fan Range to 30% - 100% (You can now define these values in the kgb.cfg file).

    The flashing process

    - Download and extract NVflash into a folder from this link - http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2133/NVFlash_5.118_for_Windows.html

    - Make sure that you place your modded bios file into the same folder as NVflash.

    - Now shift+ right click in the folder and click "open command window here" then type the following commands, with appropriate spacing:

    Nvflash --protectoff

Nvflash -4 -5 -6 modded_bios_name.rom *(note that you will need to put whatever you named your modded bios file)

For multi gpu setups, NVflash will automatically detect additional cards and ask you if you would like to flash these as well.

Once that's all done you should be able to reboot with your new bios on the card/s.

Oh and please remember that you mod your bios at your own risk. That said, if there is a problem during the flashing process and you lose functionality of your GPU/s, it is not the end of the world. Provided you have an alternative means of video output, you can flash the card/s back to the original bios using NVflash.

Please also remember the implications that this process may have on your manufacturers warranty.

    Hope this helps.
