When Bill likes one of my projects, that is when I know I did ok. really. There are many modders I appreciate greatly but very few who I place high upon a pedestal and worship them. Bill is one of those.
Nvidia said they are sending me three 480s next week . . .have the nickle-plated Danger Den blocks ready for them . . .will polish the blocks up to a nice shine before installing of course
DB, what are those fitting you are using between the cards? Also, not going with a parrellel setup? How come?
Thats the real deal mate! Cant wait to see some benchies with that beast! Also I pm'd you on OCN check it out! Peace brother!
Got the 480s in, still need another unisleeved cable but this will work to game on for now - have to replace this with a Rampage III still anyways: score: 35249 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=2164951 Not sure what I think of this loop yet.
ok - I just can't sleeve as well as Performance PCs . . .arg. I did a PCI-E cable and it came out ghetto compared to the rest of the ones they did. Going to swallow my pride and ask them to do one more. This cable is a challenge because it has an 8 pin and 6 pin cable on the videocard end so you can use one cable to power an entire card. When you unisleeve it is a challenge. Performance PCs has the sleeving skillz to pay the billz. Also ordered some of the larger Bitpsower SLI fittings from Performance PCs as these ones only have one o-ring and will leak with case vibration. the larger ones hopefully will fit and unfortunately will only allow you to see a little of the plastic tubing but that is ok. I need to be able to ship this mo fo to events. also, keep in mind this rig is a bit sloppy as I just wanted to get it running for gaming and will look better once I put in the new Asus Rampage III mobo.
Care package from Asus. They sent me an i7 975 to hold me over until they get me a 980X. They also sent an awesome Antec True Power 1200 watt PSU that I will use for my similar Star Wars build.
