Indeed it is! I have bronzed the first two tracks but cannot for the life of me get anywhere near the bronze time on Suzuka (on the odd time I can actually get round two laps)! I have given up and will instead buy the car at level 40 in about ten years!! On another note - do you win any credits/XP for doing the drift/time trials Seasonal Events? I can't drfit to save my life so I am not bothered about that, but I have set some useful time-trial times (in the top 5,000 anyway with the cars I have got). I am enjpying the seasonal events - there should be more of them (races at least).
I tried the Deep Forest Time Trial Seasonal Update yesterday. I modded a Mercedes 190 E 2.5 Evo and it has perfect specs for the event. The maximum weight is 1100kg (my car weighs 1115kg) and the maximum power is 345 hp (my car produces 343 hp). I tried everything I could but I just can't drive the damn thing with those tires. The car is so tail happy I could swear I'm driving on ice and no, the problem is not me. I may not be a great driver but there is no way anyone could tame that thing. I messed with the traction control but it's no good. Either I spin out all the time or I can't go anywhere because the traction control won't let me Very frustrating. Also a big waste of 150 000$ of modifications
It's all about suspension settings, I'm sure you can dial out the oversteer with a bit of a suspension tweak.
increase rear downforce and lower the rear ride hight, reduce the toe in to 5 and increase the camber to 3.0 try that.
Oh nice, thanks! I was looking on ebay but nothing really jumped out at me. That seems like a decent deal. Thanks a lot!
was playing online today with a fully tuned up m3 csl. played in a german/french car room on the ring and the host changed the time to 9.20. racing an amg merc on the ring in the dark in an m3, awsome. some great touches that you kind of gloss over during the day, the sparks coming from a car you're chasing and the dirt being thrown up and not being able to see was great
i love endurance races, so I'd be up for it. As long as it isn't too late at night, as my G25 doesn't half make a racket, and my parents wouldn't appreciate it while trying to sleep.
Just done the Suzuka race in the Japan GT championship. It was pissing it down. I couldn't see a thing at the start. Didn't help that the windscreen wiper on the Castrol Supra wasn't long enough, so the right hand edge of the windscreen was never clear, I could barely see the apexes, luckily I know suzuka pretty well, so managed to get around with only a few minor spins.
