I think I'll get a HTC Touch Diamond 2 on Vodaphone Monday. £25 PM for unlimited internet + 100 mins and 500 txt's, guess i'll text more this time. My main fear is getting the ipone on other networks will bumb up the prices on other smart phones as people all go iphone. Seemed to go that way with O2. I like wm6 so 6.5 should be ok. Reading reviews only nominal difference between 6.1 and 6.5. I'll do what I did with my MDA and go XDAdevs and get a new rom. Hope I get tomtom working on it. Give it till midday to see if I've changed my mind.
Carrier pidgeon. People try so hard to be individuals with cool phones, but what's more individual and unique than a carrier pidgeon? You could call it Speckled Jim or something.
..True. I hadn't considered that aspect. Though, this is Mankz, I'm sure he has a camera for taking the pictures of the ladies. No good for music though
Good call mankz, I'm sure you'll be happy with it, and the more ppl you can get on BB Messenger, the less SMS costs you have! Its free with the BB email service.
No, you're all wrong! strap a camera to your pigeon and you get some very interesting angles and you can train them to coo at you! far better than chav music on a bus, a coo-ing pigeon
But would you get a decent enough resolution? I can't imagine a pigeon would be all that strong a flier with a 450D and a lense good enough to get acceptable cleavage shots from cruising altitude. Not saying it can't be done, but for that setup you might want two, perhaps even three, flying in unison. Orr.. Maybe one guiding a weather balloon type thing?

So, I don't want to open a new thread when there is already one. I would like a phone with a good calendar, I am a student and I want to manage homework and test, all the stuff that students need from a calendar. I would like to be able to check the internet and listen to music. I though about iphone and I dont think its worth the hasle for someone of my age. Although I have looked at the Blackberry 8520, its has a middle and "affortable" price. I've been using only 40E cellphones, and I want for once the cellphone to do what I ask it to do... -Calendar (proper for life managment, ver important.) -Music (as important as the above) -Mail, Internet (just for somthing urgent.) -Everything else a cellphone should do, calls, sms...
i would go with either an iphone (i know you don't thi you want it) or an Android. I have both an ipod touch (essentially an iphone) and a HTC Magic and find both do the job quite well. As far as your calender i would use gmails calender as it can be synced to both devices as well as thunderbird/outlook. One of the pluses i find with using email on my ipod ass opposed to my htc is i find the imap folders are more easily updated (some items on the HTC will show as a second list at the bottom)
I didn't mean that kind of calendar... I mean a calendar for homework, and more like a to do list. Also, I already said I have no money to buy the iphone, and that means the android too... Thanks for the feedback though.
I'm pretty sure most phones include a calendar, so you can't really go wrong. Linked are some reviews for a few of the less pricy touch screen phones around at the moment. I don't know anything about Blackberry other than my little brother is getting a Curve next month. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic LG Cookie KP500 LG KU990i Viewty Lite Samsung Tocco Lite GT-S5230 Samsung Genio Touch
I know you both answered for the calendar, and I am not trying to be rude nor do I want you to think as such, but I am looking something like the calendar-to do list moblin 2.1 has. Is there any phone that can do that, and do everything else as well... and be quality build?
The Blackberry Curve (Either the 8520 or the 8900, the same OS, iirc) has a 'Tasks' application bundled with it (free!) which has these options for when you make a new task... 'Task' (Name the task) 'Status' (Not started, in progress, completed, waiting, deferred) 'Priority' (High, Medium, Low) 'Due' (The date it's due) 'Time Zone' (the Alan Sugar mode) 'Reminder' (None, By Date 'Categories' (Put whatever category name you want in. Subject, maybe?) And then 'Notes' for more information. I should start using that app...
So, with the blackberry! I can have my full schedule (monday => maths, physics...) as tasks and add the daily homework? Or should I put schedule on categories! I am thinking blackberry it seems more "professional" looking to me!
