okay, after seeing the dismal success rate on [H], I decided a relatively foolproof wiring tutorial would be in order:

    http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&postid=247414#post247414

I haven't tested this yet, mainly cause it's aimed at software I don't yet have. If you want, you can substitute FLECOM's table of connections for mine, and it ought to work with that Markuszehnder plugin. I'd only mess with that if you want some instant gratification. I wrote the tutorial mainly to show you all an easy/cheap way to keep the connection numbers straight.

Okay, but there's not "one true wiring." The software is coded to assume certain signals on certain pins, and that can differ among software. That wiring works with the MarkusZehnder plugin.

    And where's your pics?

Got 2 on thier way... now the hardest part of all... awaiting thier arrival before trying to let the smoke out or keeping it in depends on my luck.

me sighs and looks at my two borken (i think) displays. Hmmm ill try redoing the wiring and see if that helps. I'm thinking i either fried them (reversed +5v/ground) or the IDE connector thingy isnt piercing the wires and makin good contacts

I used your connector idea for my display. Mine was connected correctly the whole time, My problem was that I didn't have the correct version of LiQuid MP3. If that is what you're trying to use than check to see if you have 9.3 not the 9.2 from the website.

Thanks to chrix walking me through it I got mine working.

Thanks for the lead guys, I got me one too.
I'm still high from getting my 4x20 usb port powered lcd going. Don't dispair those of you having trouble getting them to work, it took me 2 months of on & off wiring & testing to get there. Check, check, & check those connections.

So we should mark Liquid-MP3 as supporting this display?

RAM Z, what wiring did you use?

Same one you listed. But it didn't work at first. So I had to use the newest version of Liquid MP3 9.3 released Jan 19th. That will make it work.

Liquid MP3 9.3 fully supports this display. Chrix has already made new skins for these also.
