Well there's the story for Episode 7 right there!

 

People who are that obese are basically food addicts. They have no body awareness left, their metabolism is shot and they are just locked into self-destructive comfort seeking behaviours. Think of crack prostitutes; we are talking about that level of pathological dissociation and addiction.

You'd think that people would have some insight and act before they get to that point, and indeed many people do. But like hardcore junkies and chronic alcoholics there are some people who are so damaged that they just spiral downwards inexorably.

Not so much an aid to independent living as a lifestyle choice.

Aren't we also guilty of being addicted as PC enthusiasts? I mean, there are many who are serial upgraders, buying a new card or processor/motherboard as soon as it's released. It's an addiction really. Just like crack addicts that can't afford a shot, I too am too poor to afford a nice upgrade XD

 

I fall into the "upgrade then don't use the computer for weeks at a time" category.

I'm happy to admit it's an illness.

 

Depends. If you are going without food to buy PC hardware, your health, work and personal relationships break down because you are preoccupied with the PC and have to prostitute yourself on street corners for the latest GPU, then yeah, you're an addict.

 

Ugh. Beats are crap. End of.

 

Guy at work gets them directly from whatever county they are manufactured for $30 a piece. That cost **** all to produce, and sound like you are in a nightclub toilet when you listen to anything that doesn't have considerable bass to it. All the kids at work rock up in £200 headphones, I don't hate it....

 

If it ain't Sennheiser, it ain't worth knowing.

From my purely subjective viewpoint - the Beats headphones I've tried sounded naff... those apple earpod things - naff *and* uncomfortable to wear...

 

Sony MDR-7506 or MDR-V6 are a very good value for their price.

I'll stick with my Ultraphones though. They are truly awesome.

 

Demotivating for you guys in the UK, motivating for Scandinavians

 

The main reason I rarely visit nightclubs now. That and I can't stand **** music played really loud, sweaty people or over priced alcohol.

 

I find there are quite a lot of people that go without just so they can afford that next upgrade.

My friend is a hardcore video game collector. He will genuinely go to work then go straight to ebay or retro video game stores to buy games for his collection, with no thought about anything else he needs to pay for like rent, internet or food; then complain to me that he has no bloody money. It does seem like a genuine addiction.

I'd love to spend all the money I get on PC parts, but man.. so much else to think about.

 

Who needs all that when you have Klute!
