    Dear god :c

7870 looks like a good sweet spot for me; think I'll plump for that when I make my mITX beast with that ASUS mobo :p

Page 5 - 'fractal'... um... do you mean 'fractional'?

Page 6 - have you got confirmation that it's two dual-link DVI ports? Others have reported one dual-link and one single-link... :(

There was a LOT of confusion regarding pricing right up until the NDA expiry time of 1PM, probably to keep AMD guessing. We were told anywhere from £350-£429, and prices are now arriving at the top end of that. Considering that's launch day pricing (where retailers expect to shift the stock regardless), I think our estimate of £400 should be right, with perhaps some room to drop down to £350 in the future.

Im very suprised at the power being a fair bit lower, after all Nvidia are normally power hungry cards

Power draw is lower because of the 28nm manufacturing process and refined architecture.

Oooooh I hate you rich buggers! Gone are the days I could do the same, the last time I did was when I swapped my 9700 Pro for a 9800 Pro lol.. :p

ON TOPIC: For once the over exaggerated hyperbole is pretty much warranted. At the top end this card is cleaning house..

Pleased to see some Surround benchmarks in the mix. It's a good card, time will tell on the price front which between the GTX680 and the 7970 goes in my next system. As fast as it is in some scenarios... the only situation I'm interested in is the extremely high resolution demands of Surround.

I would buy this in a heartbeat if I needed to, but at the moment spending hundreds on drums is more important to me. :D

I'm really surprised that Nvidia actually pulled through this time and have released what promises to be a roaring success.
