After my Xaser III, I thought I'd fab something a little less controversial. (You know the blah blah premod you're not a real modder... sigh... Carving up a piece of plexi for the rear panel. Work was done with a jigsaw and a few small files. This piece will eventually wrap around the PSU... my first plexi bend. All I used was a heatgun and and gently bent it over. Here's what the PSU will eventually look like. This little black piece will become a mount for the pipes that hold the HDD mount Here's the concept I plan to use for the base and other misc parts. It's two pieces of opaque 3mm acrylic sandwiching a red bit. The light source is a 3mm 12v bulb. The mostly completed back panel... don't really won't to stuff it up now. And with the final bends in it... just needs trimming to size. And a closeup. Some of the 8mm OD split loom for the ATX wire. A few holes for wires to run through, and the pipe mounts. How the split conduit will run eventually... Right, some grommets for the hoses to run through Making the lefthand side wall... triple layered. Ooh, some feet for the bottom. Motherboard mounted and ready to roll. And with the back panel just sitting in place. The desired effect for the side wall coming through. Time to shorten those ATX wires! I've split them into three runs so that I can use thinner, and therefore more flexible loom.
