My Coolermaster CM690-II case has a hole in the back. When I had an AM3 motherboard it didn't match with the actual CPU. I thought - "Ah it must be in the right place for just Intel boards"... Swapped to P67 motherboard, and it still doesn't fit. It is a pain in the bum having to remove the board whenever you change a cooler
i wouldnt say they are chavvy lol. chavs couldnt build computers and most wouldnt know what an 'led' is. i think it was the craze back in the days but its just old now and people prefer the more subtle professional look. i know i do. intel i7 2600k @ 4.6ghz asus p8p67 deluxe B3 G Skill Ripjaws X 2133@2200 c9 16gb noctua nh-d14 ati 4870 wd caviar black 500gb antec earthwatts 650w psu antec 1200
Sorry, I just don't like it. Reminds me of a childs bedroom and those kids in the McDonalds car park with their neon lights under their cars.
I've had it for few months, getting 8gigs more RAM soon, upgrading the PSU from HX650 to HX850, gettin rid of most of the HDDs as I'm building NAS/Server.
this is my current rig except i now have a G1 Guerilla mobo in it thanks to the guys at Kustom pc's and Gigabyte UK
Behold the magnificence! Windows 98se Epox EP-6VBA Pentium 3 667mhz 3DFX Voodoo 3 3000 3x 256MB 133mhz SDRAM 2GB hard drive POWER!!!
I'm not going to quote the images but hell my parents bought a Tiny Computer a few years before they went under or became Time (I dont remember which) Biggest piece of zit ever. £2k wasted on junk software and a system that could barely run windows. But on the bright side it lasted years lol After lots of system restores and reinstalls. My dad did those because he thought it was the best idea lol This was before I knew anything about computers at all!
Just sits there buried under a VideoCD player, old CD software (remember them?) and other things I can't quite identify at the moment! Curious if it still works. Pretty sure I have Privateer 2 installed on it, wasn't that the game with Clive Owen?
I wouldnt know, and yes I remember CD Software, I once remember my dad coming home with a Dragon CD with loads of software on it and tried to install it onto a different computer. He asked me why wont the CD drive read the disk. I told him thats because the CD drive only reads CD's........You get the picture lol Ok back on topic! At some point I will post pics of the inside of my computer, but right now I can't be bothered to try and remove warranty stickers. Or decide if I should do it at all!
