That's a cute case you have there tangster. I actually considered buying it when I first read about it cos I like the division of parts.
Just upgraded my fans Put some Cougar Vortex PWMs in the top and a Thermaltake in the back. So much quieter.
Those are real cute fans. The cutest I've seen in fact. The orange is real cute. "Air flow:70.5 CFM 119.8m3/h(max)" ^^^ Nice.
George honest answer please, if you had a choice again would you take it. Reason why i'm asking is that I'm considering going smaller but either your case or the new Coolermaster cosmos se that's coming out.
I have to say they are absolutely gorgeous tbh. About 18 months ago I bought a Cougar GS 800 power supply and I have to tell you it was the nicest PSU I have ever had my hands on. Seriously, the quality was higher than things like the Enermax PSU range. These fans are no exception. They are really heavy and feel really solid. They're also whisper quiet and offer tremendous static pressure. I know a lot of it is snake oil but they really are quite lovely. It's a shame that Cougar do not offer their products in the UK. Right now you can only really get them in Germany or if you buy them from an importer and then you're at their mercy (£25 odd each). Thankfully I let some one do that for me and I found the pair on Ebay for £20 delivered. Still a lot of money for a pair of fans but well worth it. The original Corsairs were so noisy even when slowed down.
That explains why I've only vaguely heard of cougar for psu. Didn't know they made fans too. I'm still on enermax psu but they seem to be less common at some online uk shops now. I will check out the cougar range of products.
Puppies are cute. Kittens are cute. Cute girls are cute. Computer cases and fans are... not. Please tell me you've both been taking the piss for the past two pages?
I think I have but I must admit it's not the first time someone has called me out for calling a computer case cute. So let's just say it's the second time I've done this and I've just remembered it was over that same computer case. I don't know what it is about this case.
is there any chance you could show us what the PSU section looks like? I was confused to start with looking for it but now I see it is behind the body of the computer.
I have no idea I saw hi somewhere and remembered it, I haven't got around to doing it myself yet but I'd probably go with either gluing or cable pins.
I said same when I first saw it. I have cosmos. Old now. No CPU cutout and the hard drive Bay Area not that well designed. I like the look of this new box and having the fans so close to gpu and mobo makes for better cooling.
Been thinking hard on this fo when I get mine iun a week or so. Do i put the H100i in the front or the the top.
Put it in the front Kov, cool intake air through the rad is better for the temps than heated air from the system
I don't know if I'm with you on that one. As there's no side window intake, the front is the only cold air intake source and when the CPU is up to temp, you're feeding the GPU(s) with warmer air depending how strenuous the task. Even worse if you're running Nvidia 6xx or 7xx, you'll hit thermal limit at lower clocks. I'd put the ALC at the top as exhaust and switch to decent 3x120s at the front to keep the graphics card(s) cool. Putting the rad at the front might take a couple of C off your CPU but you'll add 5 or 10C to your GPUs easily, which if nothing else, means more noise as the fans spool up.
