Well, no word from the company yet:sigh: ...

But I'm facing a new problem. I want to make a HD LED Vu meter with 2X10 LEDs in front of my case. The LEDs i want to use are 10mm...
    Which is better:?

They are blue LEDs . Will it be too much? Or should i use 5mm LEDs?

I read somewhere about this and as far as I remember they used Acetone (nail polish remover) and acrylic chips... suppose the more chips you put in the thicker it gets....

they mixed it in a glass jar and left it to overnight before using it

that would be the true modding way to do it... make your own :cooldude:

I dont think it's acetone. Methyl Methacrylate came up in a google search but I'm not sure thats it either. I know I have seen it discussed before. Found this guide from Weld-on also.

After looking at the Weld-On pdf it says something about "Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Dichloromethane)" and "Contains Methyl Ethyl Ketone (78-93-3), Methylene Chloride (75-09-2) and Methyl Methacrylate Monomer (80-62-6)".

5mm are more than enough, 10mm is like super overkill :). I'd use the 2nd layout, since they'll give of so much light that the bigger parts in between the leds will be lighted anyway. And it'll be nicer if not only the top of your case is lighted.

Since it will be a plexicase, i thought those LEDs would overdo it. OK, I'll put the 5mm LEDs. But when i have 'em, I have to think if i really want a cathode in there, 'cause I think the LEDs will make it glow pretty- pretty much:eyebrow:

First off, sorry for the double post, I have been doing them too much lately:eyebrow: :p

I did some more thinking. The result is: no plexi drive bays for me:nono: I'm gonna make aluminum/copper fronts for the drives.
So tell me what would suit better: alu or copper?

Daft question, alu or copper, just look back at my first post in this thread!
As for the Leds, don't forget that if you are mounting them by drilling the plexi and sticking them in the holes, they may cause the sides of your case to light up due to the plexi refracting (correct word?) the light inside itself. I guess it will depend on the erm.... angle at which light comes out of the LED (It's late, come on!).

About the LEDs. I decided I won't hurry with drilling of the holes. I'll first make the meter and then see how it looks without the LEDs drilled in the case.

And i received a happy reply from PCMods.com that they might start shipping stuff to Estonia in the near few weeks:clap:

    Clear LED fans

Maybe two clear LED fans in front of the case would look good, what do you think?

spoke with you on IRC about the clear fans, and yeah, I think they'd look good, just gotta decide what or how you are going to do the grills

About the LEDs on the case,

Make it so that they are spaced exactly as much as the drive bays.

Dont make then extend below the level of the drive bays.

    Im thinking like this: [IMG]
With 10 LEDs and bard's vandal resistant switch. The LEDs between the fans...

Yes, this is really coming on. As for the fan grills, well, you're gonna have to cut holes for the fans, so, instead of cutting circles, cut some straight lines! Instant fan grills! Check out the back of my PSU [IMG]
You see what i mean about the straight lines?

Don't mean to offend, but it looks like a steering wheel! Apart from that, good idea!

Know what kong? I think you're right. Those lines might fit better than a grill. Or maybe small holes...
