    The I/O panel in the back? Yeah, I just didn't feel like messing with it TBH. It's in the back and away from prying eyes. I do tend to paint the I/O shield on builds though (see "BBW" and Noire for examples). This one, the mobo had a neat graphic sticker on it, so I left it alone. The PCI slot covers I left alone too. It really doesn't gain anything for me because they're in the back under a desk where no one can see them.

    Oh, I have plenty of ideas, heh heh. After I devote all time to Noire (after I button up "BBW" again tomorrow hopefully), I have something special in mind for the next project. I'll reveal more when the time comes. :thumb:

    I can't say it's beautiful but, fantastic, fun, cool, expertly done, those words are

    So, did you 'dirty' up the HDD rack or just shlep the cover on and call it a day. Not your way young padawan. Integrity means being good even if no one is watching. Modding means doing the parts no one can see!

    Oh and I vote for

    Scratchbuild

    too! Loose the inner urges and let them out.

    This turned out great! Did you say you're going to hide it under a desk? For shame!

    The only problem with the weathered look is people not knowing its intentional, and thinking it's just a f@%ked up case! Great work on the custom look, and I really love the front panel with its engraving... I need to meet a laser cutter/engraver...

    Hahaha. No, the rack was left alone because it's inside the case. Yeah, I can admit I have done some preliminary scratchbuild sketches. :)

    Thank you! Yeah, I find it personally gratifying that others would see it and wonder why the hell I have an 'really old' case. It's already happened twice, actually. "Why's it all dirty and beat-up? You're not that hard on computers, are you? And you served in the military?" :lol:

    Wow. I've been away for awhile (life gets crazy sometimes) but I had to post some praise on this project!! Jeremy, as usual you're work has me floored. It passes the military-style test with flying colors! It looks just like a few of the old breakout boxes and test equipment we use for maintenance on the helicopters. Truly incredible work my friend.

    Oh, hey Brandon! I was wondering what happened to you, but then again I know how it is, with my best friend being in the same boat as yourself. :hehe:

    Thanks for the kind words about this project! Means a lot to me. Others I've shown it to that are ex-military said similar things about it as well. I'm glad it passed the test! In fact I'm typing this reply post on her, since she's been purring along under my desk here. She already has a fine sheen of dust on her too, not that you can really tell, lol.

    August 18th - Final Photos

    I've been busy during my free time (read: severely limited lately) cleaning and preparing this mod to leave my hands forever for her new and final home. I really enjoyed this mod, and like all my creations, I feel a slight loss in seeing her go. But like any good parent, sometimes you have to let your children go when it's time.

    I've finally gotten around to shooting this old project one more time before I say goodbye.

    Now for some digital legacy...
