Bracket glued

Today I have glued (with two component epoxy) the bracket that will hold the water tank, to the case.






I will let it rest for 2 days before I attach the water tank to make sure the glue is completely dry.

 

I've read this hole project today and i say it is amazing
I think it's really nice how you mod all of your panels. That dragon with his wings spred, do you have the original picture of that because I think that is a kick ass picture.

Is the glue strong enough to hold the watertank? some bolts might come in handy, just my 2 cents.

Second coat

today I have applied the second coat of color to the front and the dragon side dorr. the gloss is simply impossible to capture with the poor light in my basemant, and the flash just makes it the dragon door look kind of gray. but on the front pannel you can see how shiny it is

picture of the dragon door. this is taken about 2 hours after I painted and the paint is still quite wet. I wenr down just now, and it was not as wet (very sticky) and the gloss is the same the flash mede the door look gray, but on the top of the picture you can see the reflection of the box it lays in.


the flash wanted to play a little with the front bezel as well, but here you can just see the reflection of it aroung the blow hole.

Have you already covered how you do the painting? That mirror finish is just...worth salivating over!

hehehe we'll have to see about that... i was thinking the same, but it is only that shiny in perfect light and a perfect angle... when you look at the case from a little distance it is all black, with just a little reflection (as you can see in the first picture ).
