Looks good dude. I had that pump too, and its noise made me change. Now running a Ehiem 1250, and I'm not complaining. No noise tbh, and uber flow. How is yours now?
The flow is good on this thing. It actualy pushes about 3L/m so the flow isnt bad but it resonates through the case creating more noise than necesary. The cone is from some sort of old table. It was a part of 4 cones I found in my junk drawer. It had some surface rust but some quick sanding cleaned it rite up.

Well I started with this old heatsink. After bending it back and fourth I managed to snap a fin off. I then proceded to put the fin on the stove and let it heat up. For two reasons really. It makes removing the clear coating off it easy and the second reason is that it makes the copper more flexible and workable. After puting the very hot copper foil under water for a fiew seconds I then sanded the old crud off it. This is the second part of the block. Its actualy a copper cap for a 1inch tube. I then took the copper sheet and put it over the copper cap but on the hollow end. The scope is to turn the sheet into a cap for the cap and seal the block. So some hammering took place. Now we need some way of fabricating something to fascen the block on. I bought a copper strap that is meant for a one inch tube. Some cutting. Notice the part left over ontop. Im not throwing that out just yet. That part comes in handy so I can hamer a curve into the copper pice. I hamered a curve ontop of a 1inch black cast iron pipe. After adding a cuple of cupplers and some pipe I did the soldering. THis is it now. Ofcourse its very dirty from the smoke and the oxides created by the torch when soldering. Next up is some sanding and polishing. You may also have noticed I did not put anything inside the block for turbulance. And that is simply because it wont need it. Chipsets produce very little heat and just water in the chamber design should take care of it. In fact the new acetal chipset block from swiftech is just a chamber design with no fins whatsoever. Your thoughts?
OK update time. I have decided to replace my heater core with a triple 120mm swiftech radiator. It finally arrived. Here she is Here is another shot to show the finish on this thing. The finish on it is awesome. The fans above are the icing on the cake. These are the quietest fans I have ever owned. I put 12v on 10 of these babies and they are still quieter than my psu fan. Thats 10fans making less noise than 1 on my stinken psu. They push about 47cfm acording to manufacturer. Well the folks over at craig davis were kind enough to sponsor me a pump. This thing is awesome. Its quieter than my swiftech pump and it can run @ 5v providing 1.5L/min. @ 12v it puts out ~3L/m. The kicker is that this thing runs cooler than my previous swiftech making it more ideal to run it insulated for noise. Here it is compared to my older swiftech unit. And the pump compared to an undressed swiftech pump. Original pump mounting. Where the new pump will go in. Now I want to mount the triple rad down flush with the case. So I need more airflow. I built this front plate to go on top of the case. (I may paint the bezel of it black to match the case). I also put on a sponge on it to make sure dust stays out of the case. I added an air filter on the front as well. But something was missing. I decided to put a couple of red ccfls in the front to light up the sponge. It looks funky and weird. And the pic of my favorite new toy. I love the tube amp. I am putting sound dampening all over the case as well. I bought some spire sound mats. And some thicker dampening material. Thats it for this update. Sometime next week I am hoping to update again.

Look like yate loon 12dsl fans to me. Good pick, I've got 5 of then in my case and they're incredibly quiet.

I have finished her. I finished the case for a lan party in rode island about 3 or 4 months ago. I did not take pics tonight. I apologize to those who were reading my measly thread. So here she is. I used my flowmeter as jet, its performing two jobs, it protects my pc and improves block performance. Another shot The top plate I built. I have an x1950 pro waiting to be put in. Its going to be a direct bolt on with little more than 30min assembly time. After adding the chipset block its actually easy as pie to assemble and disassembles my loop now.
Nice build, looks wicked. Is there any type of clear gloss you could get to put on the copper, as the copper just gets dirty after time.
