I know but I don’t want that side as the back i want all the IO ports, switches and all other crap in the front, just like the way i planned it. whether u like it or not
Time for another update . The side plates of the case will be poking out a bit just as planned, but i wanted nice round edges. So I just drawn a little line along the edge of the plexi, and started filing and sanding. And after a few hours of filing sanding and polishing, we end up with this as a result Well now obviously a case wont cool itself, so we needed some fanholes so just mark the place and in with the holesaw . But only a holesaw isn’t enough, as u can see the hole itself is a bit battered. And after a lot of sanding and some polishing we get some niceeeeeeeee holes And it even makes a nice bracelet Bling Bling eh And a total shot.
That's some nice bling you got there, Ludacris would be proud. No seriously though, this mod is really cool, I applaud your case and the way you stuck the motherbaord backwards to face the front. Makes plenty of sense if you ask me. People are always building front IO ports, so why not just flip everything around, definately better access. Great mod. Also, great job with the flame polising, when I do an acrylic case, I'll remember that.
Right u are, im gonna place the case under my TV cabinet, and im going to use the TV-out on the card, and like this I don’t need a long cable for it Not only that the IO ports in the front, are a key feature of the whole design. (you’ll see later on in this project) I do have a small tip for you, when u flame polish thicker pieces of plexi 8 or 10 mm dont try to get it all in one go, let the edge cool off first and than continue (else u get nasty bubble).
The case is getting his shape now And the cooling works as planned, by the flow the CPU as well the PSU are cooled : Don’t mind all the wires its from another PSU the one I want to use got some problems I suspect a lose wire in the ATX wire loom, so time for some measuring
Use the Multineter Luke.... (soft ghosty sounding voice) That is looking great. maybe use a small strip of plexi or two to direct the airflow.. just .02 cents
I’ve been thinking about it, but I don’t think it needs that much cooling, I (accidentally) ran the CPU passive for 3 days. Soooo……….. I think it’ll be alright
I got a job for a few weeks so, I dint have much time at hand. How ever I got some work done on the front plate and did some detail work. As u can see the HDD suspention is looking real Bling Bling And I made a cewl shot of the fans in action great for a background. And a larger version.
Totaly wicked man. My lighter has a flame very simillar to your blow torch.... Wonder if it'll work to do as good of a job (2" blue flame micro-blow torch lighter with red LED ). Anyway, as soon as I saw this mod, I subscribed to it. Wicked Sick Don't you dare go messing it up by making it conformist like 99% of mods out there. Nice bling bling btw, I'll have to try that.
I’ve been busy with a support for my slimline cdrom drive, because the only thing that’s keeping it in place is the slot in the frontplate itself The design drawn. Sawed out. Sanded. And polished. Detail. In place. Details. How this will be attached to the frontplate I will show you later on
LOL their is no 230 volts on the heatsinks m8 its more like 12 volts, trust me i touched them. And it isn’t the first time, i got an electrical shock my highest was 380 \o/ that one hurt
I bet you a modded pc that it has 230v in it Well it threw my arm back and jolted me across the floor for 3 seconds
Right so this is how I attached the drive to the front plate. With chloroform. As u might notice, the plexi is a bit cracked cause I flame polished some of the edges and then it will crack because of the stress on the glass. But you cant see it, cuz I made the faceplate on the drive slightly larger in the event something when wrong.
/me forces resetter to write a "How to polish Acrylic guide" /me also forces G-Gnome to do the same ps: on their own free time of course. Beside that, really nice work Resetter. All that acrylic is going to make me do something stupid like buying acrylic and not pay my bills
Yeah, me too. I really wanna get a computer case goin with acrylic/plexi. I got some ideas, and just need to find the time to do the paperwork/designwork of it all.
I've been busy looking online for guides, but all I've found is many sites talking about flame polishing, and how you have to anneal it after. You can use machines to polish edges or the whole flat surface. Gaa to much stuff out there.
MSn Nice work I am working on my next project, Project, Flamez maar ff een vraagje voor jou Resetter heb je msn??? zo ja mag ik em??
