Very cool.. Your purchasing parts and I am purchasing groceries, I feel a bit depressed reading your PL. I could shoot/post pictures of frozen pizza's, but your SSD's are much more fun to look at.
Can you share your "out of pocket" expense for this machine with us?.. My guess is about (perhaps over) $10,000US..
MS (I am eating one of those frozen-pizza's as we speak)..

My 2cents.,
I think those GPU covers are terrific! Close up, far away, any way!
But ( there's always a "but") They would look even better if they
extended over the edge (where possible) on the two most visible
sides IMHO. Though I don't know how this would be done.

@oldnewby & murtoz & Frido - Thanks guys, I have a couple ideas to finish off these additions. But I wont be making new ones to hang over the edges - I do agree with you though, just wish I had thought of that before.

@Dark~3nergy - It's a means to an end... and I have plans for this project and the credibility that will come with it.

@Htr-Labs - Like I mentioned before, I wont be adding the audio until I move back to Vancouver (next april) - the cash will be flowing again by then for all the toys that I desire.

@turboshifter - I have already - and in the next year you'll see.

@jhanlon303 - I couldn't agree more... but I have some other plans to go with it.

 

You do need to keep us posted on how much it weighs! H2O and CU are not light. I know it's early but got a rough weight now?

That sounds very very tempting... I don't have any decent cans (and my ATH-EC7's certainly don't count...lol). But I recently -a few months ago- blew my audio budget on a pair of Paradigm Signature Series S4 speakers, a Yamaha A-S2000 amp, and a Yamaha CD-S2000 CD/SACD player - I got them at cost but I still don't have the coin right now. That said - I really want to get a headphone amp (compatible with my MD player) and some cans.
