Welcome... To City sevent.... ehh to Bit Tech! Wery nice work, I was amazed that you managed to find good dome for his head. And it looks awesome. I was wondering if you will put a webcam into his head. THat would be cool especially when displaying your mod in future shows.
Yes I am!! Take a look... I started working on the Vapochill/Motherboard installation. I'd like to give a big THANK YOU to the Vapochill forums for the installation process. First I removed the heatsink brackett on my motherboard. Next I installed the back plate with the heating element and the guide rods. I pulled my proc off the board and applied the silicone compound to the entire underside (as instructed) The socket 478 requires a little piece of insulation to go in the socket. I put the proc back in and closed the clamp. Next up I slid the insulation for the socket over the guide rails. I'll hook it up to the cooling element after I deal with my CD drives. I finished the installation of my LCD.
Alright, I'm having a bit of a problem mounting the CD drive in the dome. There's just not a lot of place within the head to secure it to. I'm still gonna try to do it, but I'm also, gonna have to prepare to mount it in the body, if necessary. Here's a pic of R2: Draw where on this pic that you think I should put the drive. Remember that the drive is a slot loader and can go horizontal or vertical.
My suggestion, if you have watched the recent movies, he has a little arm that comes out where those blue things are about 1/4 of the way down from the top of the body, make one of them pop open to show the slot?
I cut the hole on the opposite side for the floppy. Then I shined a flashlight through. Next, I cut the hole out of the front. Fixed the pin stiping. And here it is from the inside. As you can see, I'll be avoiding the use of drive bays to keep the clutter to a minimum. I was going through some of my supplies when I found a box of handles! Also, here's the power switch I want to use. Any idea on where I should mount it?
I plugged my lower two intake, upper two intake fans, and floppy drive into the PSU and tidy up the wires. And I finished mounting the floppy drive.
