the wavemaster uses an ordinary coolermaster frame, stock side panels with a different front piece, stick a ccfl to it and name it wavemaster Yes the cm case has some sharp edges, but not many though. Overall a really nice case, sturdy and imho prolly stronger than any lian li out there.
I don't know where Tom's been sticking his hands in a Wavemaster but I've got two of them and never had any problems with sharp edges. My only complaint with the Wavemaster (and all CoolerMaster cases for that matter) is the hard drive bay is connected to the 5 1/2 " Bays. Other than that the case is really easy to work with. Solid construction, beautiful paint job (nice and shiny on the Black Version). Sorry for the o/t part. I def love the look of the dye with the mirrored windwo. Anyone know where I can get an equivelant looking dye in the US?
one of those things is worth about the same as my whole rig... But wasn't the original plan to use 6600gt's? Not that I'm bitter and jealous or anything....
Pretty much only the Antec True550 EPS12v modded to dual PCIE power plugs (see my log) or the PC Power and Cooling SLI model. Or so I've heard... that's based off of FX55/2x6800u/2 optical/2-3hdd I think. Somewhere in the depths of the Anandtech 94?-page A8N-SLI discussion.
An SLi PSU with only one PCIE power plug? Hmm... that might say it's not quite cut out to be an SLi PSU. Kinda like the thermaltake one some site reviewed where the PCIE power plugs didn't fit because the connectors were messed.
Its model number EG701AX-VE(W) and it says on the box it has 2x 6 pin PCI-Express VGA Connectors for SLi Compatibility............lol i can only find one! The GFX cards came with the 6pin plugs that split into 2 male molex (each) I'm hoping that a 6pin plug from the PSU and one from the GFX card into two of the molex from the PSU will do it...........nothing like wishful thinking to will it to work
There are different versions of that power supply the version you should have snagged is called the EG701AX VE SFMA 2.0 SLI this one has a hybrid mains plug where the 4pins of the 24pin come off so you can use it on a 20pin board chucking the extremely bulky adapter of the older versions plus it has ATX 2.01 specification, and also the dual PCIe 6pin connectors(not called SLI plugs FYI) the only way to tell is if the kit came with a mains ATX adapter. There's also a newer version from Enermaxs All-in-one series which will support dual processor boards as well with the 8-pin cpu power connector.
