Lol at the pics...Glad i could help mate... If you pull this off, i'm going to try it myself...for £99!
Mouse + Keyboard - £10 Speakers - £8 Monitor - New 18.5" widescreen - £70 That leaves a budget of £115 for the main unit or about £145 if the monitor is second hand.
I'd be looking at more gaming orientated peripherals rather than just a bog standard mouse and keyboard and 2.1 speakers too. The monitor would have to be full HD too so 22" As said it would be a gaming PC so the peripherals need to be half decent
I can honestly say that this is one of the most brilliant ideas I've stumbled across here! So much so that I believe I may follow suit and try to put together a decent gaming base unit for a lovely cheap price. Well done sir
Hell yes lol! Awesome soundtrack to my domination! That E5200 should get up to 3.6 easy and even 3.8/3.9Ghz Lol i just forgot he's using my motherboard. Definitely up to 3.6Ghz with hardly any extra voltage. My E5200 was running on that very board not even a month ago.
Didn't think I could really afford a E5200 on the budget if I wanted to buy new fans (those guys are dusty as hell).... But I've got a E6300 and a Freezer 7 on the way so we'll see what we can get out of that. If I can get to 3Ghz, I'll be well happy!
ok so yes, just the RAM left now, and sleepy gamer might well be getting back to me soon with a 2gb kit for £15. also should have 3x 80mm fans from fingers66, so when that's all confirmed and paid for i'll update the thread with all the totals!
All this time I wanted to give some thing to this brilliant project! I have a PCI wireless G network card doing nothing! Its yours if you want a PCI card.
Just in case Parge missed it, I sent ya a PM about the RAM, etc. £15 for the 2x1GB kit, and I'll throw in the 80mm green LED fan. If you wanna rock the SB card I have, it's yours for another £15. :3 If you are lucky, I'll send a signed photograph of myself, smothered in baby oil. Edit: The photo that is, not myself. >.>
